No. I said this. I do know: I fight for a government that DOESN'T TELL ME HOW I CAN AND CAN'T LIVE! No drug laws, no abortion restrictions, I hate property tax and income tax, but I'm willing to concede those. Minimal intervention in the economy, relegated only to trust-busting. Basically, the government exists to keep order. We are free to live our lives however we see ft, as long as it does not conflict with anyone else's, i.e. murder, theft, rape, etc. suck it

You seem to be forgetting one very basic thing. People are morons. You can't let anyone just do whatever they want.

With people being allowed to do whatever they want, they'll soon find no meaning in their actions. WHATEVER!!!!! YOU JUST GOT SERVED!!!

What is "meaning" anyway? why does it have to "mean" something, why can't it just simply be?

Because like Derrick said, people are morons. While there are a few that are satisfied with just existing, the vast majority need some sort of divine purpose, and without it... who knows what they would do. Not that I know how people doing what they want would cause this, but w/e.
The biggest problem I see with complete freedom is anarchy.

Mind you, I said that the government exists for the purpose of stopping anarchy. They keep order, and enforce laws. Laws like "Don't murder" and the like. Laws that actually benefit society. there aren't many laws I HAVE a problem with, mainly abortion laws and drug laws (I'm against both, btw). Laws exists to keep people from hurting others. I don't care if you want to hurt yourself with drugs, and such, just don't hurt someone else by driving 50 miles over the speed limit and hitting someone b/c you're out of control.

That's why religion was invented.

I'll try again.
With the first half of your post, I completely agree. The second part wasn't really necessary. The line you quoted form me was a response to the question I quoted from you, which is also why religion was invented.

Pretty much, yeah. But it's unrelated to the topic, so we might as well drop it.
