Yeah, rushing through a book just means that you miss half the message. Kinda defeats the purpose of reading the book...

I don't read fast on purpose. It's just how I go. If the book is boring (Jane Eyre, Tess, Their Eyes were Wathcing God) then I cannot bring myself to read it.

I'm not saying that people shouldn't read fast, they just shouldn't try to. I'm a fast reader, but I do slow down when I really want to absorb something.

I don't read fast on purpose. It's just how I go. If the book is boring (Jane Eyre, Tess, Their Eyes were Wathcing God) then I cannot bring myself to read it. Haha, I liked all those books. Tess was my favorite.

Jane Eyre was okay. It was dry in areas. I never read Tess.

She gets raped, has a baby, baby dies, she goes off to a farm, falls in love, gets married, then he leaves her, and she goes off, then he realizes he loves her and tries to find her, but she got married to her rapist, then she kills the rapist and runs off with the guy, then she gets hung.....and dies. The End.
