...is used by ignorant people. Yea, that's right, IGNORANT! I had to get both my mother and father to stop saying it, and my mother's a grammar Nazi while my father is a spelling champion. The word is a double negative, so even if it were allowed in standard English the word's true meaning would be obscured by the prefix and suffix, in fact giving the word the opposite meaning of what was intended.
Now that my mini-tirade is over, I would like to say that the next time I see or hear that word used in a non-humorous or non-expository manner, I will hunt down the offender and punch him or her in the face.
