I'll work on a bit of lore for that...at some point. For now, they are seven powerful blades that were scattered across the globe, their locations a deep secret within the Vatican's ranks. They can take the form of other objects besides swords, which is why they are difficult to locate.
It is iss aid that in times past, these blades fell from Heaven and were taken up by prophets, who used them to perform miracles. These blades have been united together only three times in the past, each time heralding a terrible disaster.
It is said that when united and with the proper ritual, these blades create the Path of Light to reach the fabled relic the Holy Grail.
