as long as the ultimate goal (determined by the game master - in this case ADam) gets accomplished, what side characters do means little.
Just not be rediculous in the context of the story

He's fine, he just can't randomly show up places. Awesome Land is the only place where people can do that.
the others require direction.

Random World 3 has officially been finished and as such has been crossed out on the CRISIS LIST. See the truly epic battle that ended the story at the following link: THE BATTLE TO END ALL BATTLES

I say we finish Magecraft. It seems to be the closest to being done (61 PAGES FOR REALZ). Awesome Land has essentially just started and I don't really feel like posting in it anyway. And as much as I love Reynold and his rapist exploits, I don't see them being over anytime soon either.
I HAVE NO SAY IN THE OTHER STORIES seeing as I have no characters there.

I like keeping a small handful of characters with decently developed biographies, appearances, unique characteristics and so forth. If I made too many, each successive one would become uninteresting and I end up creating bios LIKE THIS. Name: Qwaser Weivyr
age: 134
history: A minor noble of House Weivyr and manservant of Baronet Torran.
bio: herp derp THAT JUST AIN'T RIGHT. Eventually guys are gonna become like STAN LEE, so confused that half your characters are rehashed from the other half, and half of those are stolen from DC.

most of us give basic character models and develop the personalities and histories over the course of the story.
I have done this with major characters like Johnny, The Time Keeper, Adden, Knox, and others.
It works for us.

most of us give basic character models and develop the personalities and histories over the course of the story. I have done this with major characters like Johnny, The Time Keeper, Adden, Knox, and others. It works for us. That approach works best in normal stories, but I don't see how it functions properly in Interactive Fiction. The way I see it, whenever you're about to make a fictional character, you generally have a certain idea of how you want them to be and develop. The moment you put a character in an interactive story, you're subjecting it to the minds and wills of everyone else, and without a definite backbone (in the form of a biography) your character could end up being nothing like you had originally envisioned.
