Name: Eirian Rhyder
Age: 17
Dragon: Bronze- Baldoin
Description: of a medium height and build, she is usually rather pale but is tanned and freckled from exploring the island's shore with Baldoin. She has light brown hair and grey eyes, and has a noble bearing and manner from her upbringing. She usually wears leggings of soft leather under a cloth tunic and colorfully woven belt, and carries a blue, dyed leather satchel to carry the shells and things she finds exploring. She sometimes wears a green cloak clasped with the crest of her family. While her personal tastes are simple, her clothes are of good material and obviously tailored and expensive. (this would be way easier with a picture)
Bio: Eirian is the younger child of the noble Rhyder family of Dux Ducis. Her father, Guldhavf(age 48), is a member of the ruling council, and her brother, Ranulf (21), is working to climb the officer's ranks in the army with his wyvern, Kythal. Their mother, Helena Prydun (44), left their father about a year ago and supposedly lives with other family, though neither of her children have seen her since. Eirian was never told the reason for her parent's divorce.
When she was 10 her uncle Herron(mother's side) was gravely wounded in a battle with a nest of wild sea serpents. He was unusually close to his dragon partner Baldoin and asked him to give his sister the news of his death. Upon such deliverance, Baldoin was fascinated with the innocence of the isolated girl Eirian, and they have been companions ever since.
Eirian did not care much for the world, and she did not need to. She has always been shielded from violence, poverty, and war by her noble family, and it has left her innocent of the world's problems, but not intentionally, for she is compassionate and willing to help people brought to her attention. She is considered more plain in appearance than most of her cousins and social equals because of the common coloring of her hair, skin, and eyes, so she is not haughty or arrogant. Her detachment has left her without any true close friends besides her brother and Baldoin.
She dislikes pain and cruelty, is quick to speak her mind, does not naturally lie, and is a skilled musician. She asked to go to the academy for her and Baldoin's sake. She has grown old enough to dislike the isolation of her family's estate, and Baldoin made it clear he would not babysit her forever, but would be agreeable to work with her studying aquatic creatures or fighting the wild ones if she chose to. She has been at the Academy a few months studying the ocean in general without making up her mind.
Other: Her favorite instrument and prized possession is a lyre specially made and particular to the Prydun family(who are traditionally musical craftsmen). She finds it soothes some of the creatures she encounters, and Baldoin likes it.
