Welcome to Valeshroud City's Hero Registration Center, home of the largest superhero database on this side of the United States! Or, at least, the largest government owned superhero database, anyway. Mayor Alexander Zen has a strict policy of only permitting "complete entries" in the database. That is to say, we only catalogue biographies of heroes whom we know the identity of. Needless to say, that is very few...So, um, if you're up for disclosing your identity to the public, feel free to fill out the following registration card...Please?

I mean, you don't have to fill out a card here, but...Pretty please? My life depends on this! Mayor Zen said he's going to scrap the entire database project if we don't get more heroes identified! If that happens...I'm out of a job and my family's out of food! So, come on! Sign here! Um, don't tell anyone about this, but my cousin works as a treasurer at Zencorp, the mayor's personal financial service and technology company. I'm sure he could...sneak a reward to you for signing up here. I dunno, maybe...$10,000 or so? Heck, if you're one of those heroes who doesn't fight in a costume, we'll still give you the money! Please, just sign up! ...Hmm? What's that? You're not here to register as a superhero? You just want information about the various empowered people of Valeshroud City? Oh...haha. Forget everything I just said, then. Since our database is lacking right now, you're better off checking the VS Times Newspaper and Magazine for more information. Birth Name: Carlos Knight
Alter Ego: The Silver Matador
Appearance: Tanned skin, dark brown hair and eyes, the facial features and body structure of a man who has almost completely absorbed the looks of Adonis. Almost, but not fully. He's about an even 6'0" in height. He usually has a ":/" type expression on his face, showing his reluctance to do anything super heroic.
Costume: Bright silver armor reminiscent of ye olde medieval soldiers of King Arthur, although much more modern in appearance. An emblem shaped like a bull's head is on the front of the chest plate. In costume, the Silver Matador wears a horned helmet with a dark visor where the eye-slots in a normal helmet would be. Always wears a blood red cape with his armor. Alternatively, for public appearances, he wears a more traditional, silvery matador costume with the same bull shaped emblem and a horned mask.
Age: 19
Brief History: Born to a Hispanic mother and British father in Sacramento, California, he was trained in the art of traditional dance by his mother and jousting and horse riding by his father, a medieval reenactment enthusiast. Eventually the family moved to Valeshroud City after their house was destroyed by an earthquake. A proficient dancer and fighter by the age of 16, Carlos quickly mastered the martial art capoeira to stand a chance at defending himself against the rampant criminal threats in Valeshroud.
Origin of Powers: Around the age of 16, Carlos was walking home from a dual dance studio/martial arts center with his girlfriend, Andrea, when he encountered some cape lying on the sidewalk. It was the middle of the night (Carlos insisted on training at any hour he was free), so when he bent down to pick it up, he didn't notice a group of thugs had walked up to him. After a few insults and demanding of the cape, the thugs snatched his girlfriend. Carlos was strong and attempted to defend himself and his girlfriend, but the thugs were even stronger. Easily knocking Carlos unconscious, they proceeded to rape Andrea. Just as they were finished and were about to take the cape, Carlos came to and tried to stop them...and failed. Annoyed, one of the thugs pulled out a gun and fired at Carlos...ONLY FOR ANDREA TO JUMP IN FRONT OF THE BULLET AT THE LAST SECOND. Upon insulting Andrea for "being stupid" Carlos clutched the cape in his hands and, naturally, started crying. After more insults, he instinctively draped the cape over himself, obscuring him from view in the darkness, and when he removed it he was in a bright silver suit of armor with a host of new abilities. With his newfound super strength and his armor's defense against bullets, he single handedly beat each thug into a bloody pulp. Before he could kill them, his girlfriend, barely alive, convinced him that he would be no better than the thugs if he murdered them. Agreeing, Carlos said his tearful good-byes to Andrea and took the thugs to the local jail, where they were promptly incarcerated after a bit of persuasion by TSM. At this point, Carlos decided to join the ranks of the city's masked crimefighters. Although the three thugs knew his identity, they were driven insane by the thorough beating and were relocated to an insane asylum, never to reveal the secret.
Current History: Carlos, at about the age of 18 with a bunch of heroic deeds under his belt, eventually revealed his identity to Mayor Zen personally. His battles were responsible for quite a bit of damage to the city, and he would have been crazy and irresponsible to pass up Zencorp's Superhero Insurance Program, which pays for all property damage up to $10,000,000. So, with the deal being that TSM would reveal his identity in exchange for insurance, Carlos showed Mayor Zen the man behind TSM helmet. Carlos asked Zen not to reveal TSM's identity to the public yet and keep the HRC file under lock and key. Zen agreed, on the condition that Carlos work part time for Zencorp and that Carlos reveal his identity by his 21st birthday.
Now, 19, Carlos still works at Zencorp and his identity is known only by Mayor Zen, the three thugs and...his manager. Not too long after Zen filed away the TSM's identity, expert computer hacker and Valeshroud State Management graduate Cassandra Williams broke into the HRC database, stealing the data. She proceeded to more-or-less blackmail Carlos into letting her become his manager. A year later, Cassandra has exploited The Silver Matador to no end, creating toys, video games, costumes, books and a host of other random pursuits, bringing a great source of wealth to both herself and Carlos. The two live together in a mansion in upscale northern Valeshroud City, although Carlos really wishes he could stop being forced into 'media-prostitution'.
Superpowers: Ridiculous, superhuman strength (the lifting cars and tearing poles from the ground with no effort kind) and above average speed and agility from his years of dance training. He also has a lot of money from his exploitation, and we all know money is a superpower. His cape, through some unknown technology, can instantly transform him into the Silver Matador, as well as transform into a lance and summon a giant bull. Quite strange, yes.
Other: Carlos really, really hates media whores, and he hates being one even more. He anxiously awaits his 21st birthday when he will reveal his identity to the public, which will prevent Cassandra from blackmailing him and end his forced stardom. He is in a love/hate relationship with Cassandra, however, and doesn't want to reveal his identity for both her safety and her business prospects.

Birth Name: Lila Winola Alter Ego: Incognito Appearance:  About 5"6' with blonde hair and blue eyes. She usually wears a suit with a skirt to work with her hair in a pony tail. She often has her hair up because it would be "too much" for her male coworkers to handle. She has been seen in formal attire when she's writing for certain events, like a charity event at a museum. Costume: Incognito's costume consists of leather fabrics that fit to her body, making her appearance distracting. Though her costume should really hinder her, with leather being hard to move in and heels being impossible to run with, but they work for her. Age: 24 Brief History: Lila has always been well endowed both physically and mentally. In high school, she was always saught after, and her popularity scored her a job with the school newspaper. Soon after she started working there, Lila became hooked on journalism. She quickly discovered that she could use her appearance to gain access to any information she wished, and it quickly became a main asset in her methods. However, she soon found that she was labeled for this feature and felt like she wasn't making the right approach to journalism. After high school, she quickly switched to a different method involving snooping for information. Unfortunately, she wasn't very good at it. Her appearance made her very noticeable, and she was often caught before she even had a chance to get a good look around. It was at this point that she aquired her powers. With the help of her invisibility she was able to make many front page articles. Her credibility soared, and she earned a job for The VS Times as one of their top journalists. Though she is still gandered and gawked at, Lila still maintains her focus on journalism. However, when she's Incognito, she will use whatever she has to get the job done, even if it's her assets. Super Powers: Invisibility Origin of Powers: In college, Lila was doing a report on the university's lab. While they were out to lunch, Lila slipped inside to take a peek. There, she found a small room meant for washing off waste that got on the students. Unfortunately, the shower was backed up, and anything in the drains came back out of the showers. Unaware of this, Lila turned them on to see how it worked only to be drenched with radioactive waste. This waste is what caused the chemical reaction in her body to give her the power of invisibility. Though she may not be a very effective super hero, Incognito is known widely by the public for her scandalous appearance. Though her identity should be obvious, many never make the connection as they are distracted by "other" things. Her invisibility really doesn't help her crime fighting at all. In fact, it's her appearance that causes to do the criminals to do whatever she pleases, if they're male. |

Birth Name: Terrance Ivander Alter Ego: Waterwalker Appearance: longish, light brown hair and shining hazel eyes. He stand about 5'9'', but commands the attention of someone seven feet tall. He is the quintessential "pretty boy" superhero. Costume:  Like this, but without the Pokemon and with normal hair color. Also a basic, light blue eye mask. Age: 27 Brief History: Terrance Ivander had a fairly average childhood, until high school rolled around. He apparently became very popular with THE LADIES. This only skyrocketed after he discovered his water-walking abilites. He a bunch of his lady friends were chillin' at ye olde swimming hole when Terrance climbed up a tree to dive in and impress them some more. he screwed up the dive and ended up in a belly flop. However, he didn't sink. Too his surprise, he was standing on top of the water. Since then, he has dedicated his life to fighting for truth, justice, and the ladies.
