Bill formed the finger-pyramid-of-contemplation and sighed. "Ah, well, about that. You see, those Scrolls I had those people find way, way back (in the 1980's) in Awesome Land 3 were...how do I put this? They weren't real. I think I even admitted as much. Those were a tool to gather the heroes together. Now, the REAL Scrolls are..." He hemmed and hawed. "Somewhere. Probably scattered. That's how these things work you know. I would guess that there's on in each land: Awesome Land, Fun Land, Special Land, Groovy - well, there's not one here. There might have been one in Super Land before it crashed. Probably Really Cool Land. That's...five out of seven."
He shrugged.

"You like making things difficult, don't you, Bill?" Aurora rolled her eyes and huffed.
"Come now, Aurora. Let's be kind. It won't be too bad looking for these, anyway. A fun adventure, even." Chancellor Awesome tried to assure her.
"Screw that, Chancellor." Aurora laughed. "I think you're forgetting that half those lands are part of the Awesome Land Empire." she reminded him.
"And...what does that mean, Aurora?" the Chancellor asked, clearly confused.
"Guess who the Empress is. Here's a hint." Aurora pointed at herself with both index fingers. "I'll just order everyone else to do it for me."
"But, Aurora-
Before C. Awesome could finish the sentence, Aurora had already teleported back to Awesome Land and grabbed her magical megaphone.
"ATTENTION ALL CITIZENS OF AWESOME LAND. YOU HAVE BEEN TASKED WITH FINDING THE SEVEN SCROLLS OF SCIENCE. FIRST ONE TO FIND THEM ALL GETS A FREE 9000 FLOOR TOWER. ALL OTHERS WILL BE EXECUTED. That is all."

Stella paused in her stride (read: in proceeding to mouth-rape Blanche) and turned to face the sky. "Was that Pretty Lady over the airwaves?"
"APPARENTLY SO." Goldbez ceased his gyrating just as the fabric of time began to unwind. "SOMETHING ABOUT DEATH; I WASN'T LISTENING."
Stella struck a very leader-like pose. "Ok team, we have our first mission! Recover the Stolen Sores of Sentience!"
"SEVEN SCROLLS OF SCIENCE."
"That, too." She spun around (and around and around and around) and pointed dizzily at Blanche. "That death-thingie the Pretty Lady mentioned is for you too. So will you help us?"
"Fine," Blanche growled. "I don't really want to die, so...yes. I will accompany you on this ridiculous quest."
"HOORAY!" Stella threw her arms around Blanche in a death grip and hugged her close.
Was it Goldbez's imagination or was Stella grabbing Blanche's...you know what? It's better in the imagination.

Bill gave Hermit a very serious look. "She's the Empress, Hermit. I'm fairly certain that she can do whatever she wants."

"Um...didn't she threaten death?" That was Crass.
"The Empress threatens death several times a day," Sherri brushed him off. "But we really should get on that."
Torran tapped her on the shoulder. "We're DCI. We're supposed to stay in the city."
"Oh yeah. Then what do we do."
"We dance sleep."

Myrxxan raised a hand. "Ah, I think I found a loophole." He said, walking over to the window. Zais and his group (who were a bit confused at this point) just stood there. Zais sighed.
"And what is that?"
Myrxxan pointed out the window at the ruined city, which resembled little more than a pile of debris now. "I don't see a city, do you? How can we stay in what doesn't exist?"

Bill rubbed his chin. "Well. Leon was Emperor because he stole Hystoger. Aurora was banished, but came back after Leon did a Heel Face Turn. So in short....I have no idea."

"I'll have you know that Her Imperial Majesty studied politics and absorbed the power of a Dark Dragon. Even with her...quirks...she's more than worthy of her position." Chancellor Awesome laughed nervously as he noticed a couple buildings outside falling to the ground.

"Ha ha ha. Hilarious." C. Awesome rolled his eyes from beneath his helmet and ceased his pseudo-laughter, re-assuming his formal tone and demeanor. "If you could help me figure out the hiding places of the other two Scrolls of Science, I would greatly appreciate it.

Cale, who up until this point had been thinking intently on what he had just heard, came to a decision.
"This is stupid." He said, "...but I don't really fancy the idea of an untimely death, so I suppose I'll have to go along with it." He glanced around himself, attempting to regain his bearings after completely ignoring everything around him for a few minutes. Wait, was Stella grabbing Blanche's...
"Ummm... what exactly did I miss while I was unconscious?" He asked, wondering if anything... interesting had occurred during his absence.

"There will be time for you to mentally plan yuri fanfiction later! Get a move on!" Aurora fluttered right next to the main protagonists and scowled, though her expression wasn't visible through her hooded robe. "I instructed you to find the scrolls 16 posts ago! An entire RIDLEY battle could've been done in that time. If I have to ask again, I'll skip the scroll finding part and go straight to the me-executing-you part."

Stella disengaged from Blanche.
"Ok team! Onward!" She hopped up on her UFO and zoomed away, leaving behind a trail of sparkling squirrels.
"Let's follow the moron," Blanche sighed.
"PARDON ME BUT I NEED TO...UH...CLEAN MY ARMOR. I SHALL RETURN WITH A VENGEANCE." Goldbez barrel-rolled away.
