Name: Valsair "Superion" Scendite (SEN-DITE)
Title: The Thundering Spirit
Age: 16
Home Universe: Normal Universe - Planet Earth
Appearance: Valsair has black hair that reaches just a little down his neck. He is strong, but he doesn't have a very muscular build. He is never seen without a necklace and two long bracelets with slots in them. His teeth are perfect and blindingly shiny. He has blue eyes, although some people say they change color. He is around 6 feet tall and loves wearing leather jackets.
Description: Valsair is a young teenager who is traumatized by an event that happened when he was 7. He's a tad bit shy, but opens up quickly when he senses a good person. He loves to help people and has a very long fuse, but if he gets angry he goes insane with power.
Race: Elementalist
Race Description: Elementalists are nearly exactly like humans, but with a special element that they hold and use in everyday life. Generally you are born one or study ancient works to harness the power of an element.
Natural Element: Spirit
Armor: Valsair doesn't wear armor exactly. Since he's not a creepy fantasy character, he actually changes clothes everyday. His favorite outfit, however, consists of a black leather jacket over a white shirt, blue jeans and a crimson belt.
Weapon: Ascension(A-SEN-SEE-ON) - The Ascendent Blade
Weapon Explanation: A blade from decades past, the broadsword Ascension has a wide blade the specializes in vertical slashes. Modified by a technological genius, it has a golden hilt with a small GPS system inside. The sword projects holograms from its tip to display the current location of its wielder. It allows the wielder to call his father, as well, using a small red button on the bottom of the hilt.
Not So Short History: Eons ago, when mankind had finished had finally completed their transition from the Information Age (1980's or so) there was a lone man famous for wearing only a hooded robe that flashed from black to white. This man saw the wonders of technology, but could not stand how it corrupted some people. This man sought to bring humanity back into the classical ages of Plato and Socrates, where the elements ruled rather than technology. Going by the name of Hyperion, he studied day and night the works of ancient philosophers and their opinions of the four natural elements. (Air, Fire, Earth, Water) He slowly began to transform into a mere image of his former self; a being more powerful than a human. He had gained control over the four elements, but in the years it had taken him to master them technology had advanced much more than he anticipated. He began to research another element - Light - but realized that it was not a force to be used for destruction, but for healing instead. As a last resort, he began to delve into the Dark Arts, knowing that its power was destructive beyond all reason. His power grew and he slowly lost his mind, a fate which befalls many who attempt the Dark Arts. He began to plot a way to enslave those 'normal' humans rather than save them from technology. He practiced using the elements day and night when he came to a conclusion: He could only use one element at one time. He searched through the ancient Greek works again and found the last element: Quintessence, the very essence that composes everything in this world. He knew that because of its very nature it could combine the 6 other elements into an unstoppable power. He himself had lost most of his own spirit along with his sanity. In order to harness his own spirit properly he would need it to be external rather than internal. Using a forbidden dark art, he imbued what little Spirit he had into a shining sword. He called it Ascension, as it represented his ascension into a being beyond human. The sky darkened and the heavens roared with the forging of this blade, and as he roamed the streets people cowered in fear. As he walked across to destroy the inventors of computers, his blade was struck by lightning caused from the storm clouds he had summoned. The lightning transferred into him and his cloak, reacting with the elements and his Spirit, causing the cloak to flash red, blue, white, black, brown, and transparent. His body overflowed with power, and his very gaze could send a wave of energy destructive enough to eliminate an entire town. Donning the name Transcendus, one by one he slaughtered everyone who helped in the making of technology, slowly sending the world into the Dark Ages and almost taking over the human race. Days turned into weeks and people wasted away without their cars and computers. Seven of the citizens could no longer take the madness and resolved to stop him. Taking advantage of the fact his power had been gained by a lightning strike, each one developed a powerful cannon with a silver orb at the top, arranging them in a circle. Transcendus saw them developing weapons, and not knowing what they did he stepped into the center of the circle. The cannons were triggered, and each one began to use the lightning to transfer one of his powers into their orbs. One at a time, Water, Air, Light, Fire, Earth, and Darkness left him, leaving him only with Lightning and the Spirit he had in his sword. The massive power loss weakened him severely, and the last cannon would have drained his life force (Spirit) to destroy him completely. The leader of the rebels and operator of the Spirit Cannon, however, pitied the weakened man, calling him a "misguided old fool". The leader walked up to him and, holding the last orb, sealed Transcendus' Spirit into the orb and put it around the now unconscious man's neck with a piece of gold wire. Transcendus was close enough to his Spirit to survive, but too far to utilize its power. Since Spirit was his very life force and it was taken from him, his life had been rewound. Transcendus' body deteriorated, and all that was left was a newborn baby wrapped in a pitch black cloak, crying. The rebel leader took the newborn baby as his own child and he and the other 6 "Saviors of the World", as they were now called, reformed the technological world.
History Continued: With the world now balanced, years later the Rebel Leader was able to give his 'son' a good life. Naming him "Valsair", a foreign word for Spirit, he observed his son's behaviors from a young age. Valsair was a strange baby indeed; when the Rebel Leader forgot to pay the power bill he noticed he still had a house filled with electricity. When he wanted to hug his son, he noticed that Valsair gave him a terrible electric shock. It then dawned on him: Years ago they had never taken his electric powers away from him. He knew it was too late now; if he fired the cannon at the child he would surely be killed. The father therefore designed two golden bracelets that helped keep his sons power at bay. The bracelets were expandable, so over the years they still fit. One day, however, Valsair (about 7 years old) got into a huge argument over ice cream with his father, and he released a huge amount of electricity toward his father after accidentally breaking his bracelets. His father was paralyzed from the waist down since that day, traumatizing Valsair and showing his father his true power. His father knew that he could not let this happen again, so he decided to give Valsair an activity that would release his anger some other way. The perfect activity, of course, was swordplay. Reforging the two golden bracelets with three slots on each, he trained Valsair for years in the art of sword fighting. Valsair studied hard, learning to control his power and able to best the toughest opponent in a sword battle. Eventually he was presented with the blade that Transcendus used decades before.
Current History: A decade later, Valsair is still traumatized by harming his father so severely. He vowed to only use his skills to help those who truly needed it. Around 16 years old, he roams the universe looking for people to help, constantly checking back on his father.
