Link awoke from his slumber in Hyrule Field. His green tunic rustled softly as he shifted to a sitting position. Two years had passed since Ganondorf's attempted takeover of the Light realm. Zelda now ruled Hyrule, Midna ruled the Twilight realm. They seemed to be sisters. Both were good hearted. And Link knew they were great leaders. Link, however spent his time saving those who were just out of reach of the Hyrulian forces. At the moment Link was packing his little makeshift camp, his current mission was to save Kakariko from some strange new beasts. Why soldiers weren't protecting his old friend's home, he didn't know.
"C'mon Epona lets go see Renado." Epona whinnied her approval. As the pair galloped off a small glint of red and gold followed. Watching, waiting.

Link hopped off of Epona and stared at the little canyon that led to Kakariko something...sinister laid in wait for him there. He led Epona forward.
GREEEEYAAAAAH. Link jerked his head up and saw in time that a blur of red and gold fell from above. It landed standing a full 18 feet. Its head closed into a beak-like snout its forehead extended backward creating a single ivory horn. Its two arms dragged against the ground and its legs bent forward, jutting away from the body. It looked to be squatting.
GREEEEEEYAH This time the screech was deafening. Epona retreated quickly hiding next to the wooden bridge that Link and Epona had just crossed. Silently Link withdrew the Master sword. Somewhere Link had read of an ancient dragon named Volvagia. Maybe the two were similar. Maybe.

The dragon beast lunged forward jaws clamping together just as Link rolled out of the way. The green clad forest dweller spun up back into a defensive position. The beast waited, looking at him with the eye closest. The pupil had a horizontal slit, Link noticed. But he didn't wait to see anything else. Link thrust the Sword of Evil's Bane into the eye of the reptilian monster.
SREEEYAH! GREEEEEE! It roared. Blood streamed from its eye. Thrashing about it crushed a fence, and jerked the Master sword from Link's grip.
"Please let my bow work against it." Link pleaded retrieving the Fairy Bow from his back. The thrashing made aiming difficult. Slowly he brought the arrow to lead just before the head.
Thwak! The arrow fired burying itself deep in the throat of the enemy. It fell to the ground, silent. Link pulled the Master sword from its meaty sheath and wiped it clean.
"Where did you come from?"

Epona galloped back. As she reached him the noble horse nudged Link's shoulder encouraging him to continue on into the town. Two years ago Link had come here in search of the children of Ordon village. They were found with Renaldo the shaman. Before he could rescue them he had to drive back the Twilight. Back then he had Midna. He shook the memories from his head. Link jumped onto the saddle and bumped Epona's sides, signaling for her to move. They ran into the town only to find three more of the dragons accompanied by a figure clad in red armor. He looked like an Iron Knuckle he had run into in Hyrule Castle. But this one was skinnier, a lot skinnier. Almost feminine. And with them 8 men-sized gold and red stag beetles stood in neat columns. Four in two rows. Epona skidded to a stop just in view of the crimson group. Link pulled Epona away just as the Iron Knuckle look-a-like turned to their position. Link wiped sweat away from his eyes. That was a little close. He heard grunts, then the sounds of them walking away drifted to his ears. Link descended from Epona's back and leaned out looking to the other end of town. They were gone. But for how long?

So I find myself with a problem. I have already NINE stories to work on, but still so many other ideas I want to write (or at least see in writing). I feel that if I start all these projects I'll end up bogged down....grrrrr!!!!

Do your best. I have 6 fanfics, and two original ideas I'm doing right now, with other ideas stored.
