WHAT THE F**K DOES IT DO!?!? I have been trying to figure it out since it was first brought up a year ago in ALI and I STILL have yet to find out! It's not on either of the wikis and in the Items of Legend thread you stopped posting the Artifacts of Wisdom RIGHT BEFORE GETTING TO THE BEAUTY MIRROR!
I DEMAND KNOWLEDGE OF THIS RIGHT NOW, TYLER.

working on it.
For right now, it shows Inner Beauty, and also counters the effects of the Ugly Stick.
It can do other stuff, but Im not sure yet.
Also, the True Sword counters the False Sheild

So...WHY DIDN'T THE TIME KEEPER USE THE BEAUTY MIRROR TO CHANGE BACK TO NORMAL IN THE FIRST PLACE? As Lucco said once in AL1: PLOT HOLES, SON!

The Time Keeper heard Walter's announcement form within the crowd. He wasn't happy. "He beat me to the punch..." he snickered. "No matter, Awesome Land was not my goal anyways.
Using his Time-Space powers he warped to the ruins of Veralice's tower. Again, with his powers he turned back the clock (no pun intended) on the Tower. He watched as the 9002 floors reassembled themselves.
He renamed it The Clock Tower.
He warped to the top of the Tower where Veralice's throne USED to sit before being moved to the school. There sat a box. A low rawr could be heard from inside. It seems in turning back the clock, he also revived RIDLEY.
The Time Keeper opened the box and RIDLEY flew out. It snarled at him. He smacked it across the face and declared, "I am your new master now!" Dragon rawr'd at him again. "Calm down you great beast! I won't keep you in the box any more." He assured the beast. RIDLEY calmed down. "In fact, I will make you even stronger than before!"
The Time Keeper created a vortex that opened to the Null-Void. He infused RIDLEY with the essence of that infernal dimension. RIDLEY grew to over 15 feet long with a wingspan of over 35 feet. He changed to a metallic-sliver color. His eyes became deep blue. Now he had the power to fire Fire, Ice, Lazah, AND a Null-beam.
Thus was born...OMEGA RIDLEY!!
The dragon hastily pledged loyalty to the Time Keeper and flew up above the Clock Tower to keep watch.
The Time Keeper suddenly realized what he'd done. He had REVERSED TIME! Why didn't he think of it before? All he had to do to make himself more menacing was reverse time on himself. So he did. Time bent and twisted around the Time Keeper as he reversed the transformation of his form.
Once the Time vortex closed, a different man stood in place of the Time Keeper. He was almost 6 feet tall. His hair was silver, NOT gray. The robes he adorned himself in were blood-red with black outlining. His eyes were a piercing green.
It felt good to be back.

When you think about it, The Time Keeper was the most broken character of them all. Sure, Narrator could do whatever he wanted, but the Time Keeper could UNDO whatever he wanted. Awesome Land would be an awesome game/movie/book if it weren't for all the plot holes that TK's power caused.

But i tried to NOT use his broken hax powers for more than simple stuff.
Think about this: I've had him killed TWICE in TWO DIFFERENT STORIES, and he still survives.

The thing is that its all about consistency. It doesn't really make sense for a man to realize he controls time and use his powers to create OMEGA RIDLEY and then to not subsequently abuse said powers. While I understand that this was done for the fairness of the story, its just...PLOT HOLES, SON?

It was actually more or less that Lucco was being the weird one and that was back when I wanted to advance plot instaed of being stupid and broken. If it were now, I'd be screwing EVERYTHING up left AND right. You think you're going on a quest? HOW CAN YOU WHEN YOUR FIVE!!!! |

went back to working on the RPG script b/c I'm trying to avoid packing for college for as long as possible.
For the time being, the Beauty Mirror (in Vanity Mirror mode) produces images that display what the person looking into it wants it to see. The images are so realistic that they could easily drive a person insane, kind of like the Mirror of Erised from Harry Potter. Additionally, Veralice can use hax to let the mirror show whatever he wants, even if someone else is staring at it. I.E., he can show your greatest desire, fear, puppies and apples, etc.
The Beauty Mirror will do whatever the plot needs it to do. Or something.

And the Vanity Mirror combined with Veralice's dimensional powers allows him to trap anyone he chooses in a hellish illusory nightmare dimension FOR ALL ETERNITY.

That last part didn't happen in the story. Veralice more-or-less banished people to the Veral Dimension (well, just 1 person, I believe) of his own power, without giving them nightmares via the Beauty Mirror. WITH THIS NEW POWER, I CAN ADD TONS MORE DRAMATIC CRAP TO THE STORY
