You're our resident expert on Russia, i.e. you know more about it than anyone else. I need to create a fantasy-analogue to Soviet Russia, beginning with the October Revolution.
That's the Bolshevik revolt, right? Where they killed the tzar's family and made it socialist?

Actually, she did, she just didn't live. She was killed along with the rest of her family. They have her corpse and have proved it.

okay, So feburary come around and the Czar is forced into creating a provisional government. They try to establish a constitutional monarchy, but due to general incompetance, Lenin and his group of revolutionaries overthrow the government. They make peace with Germany and give up massive amounts of land in order to seal the deal. Immediatly after, a civil war breaks out between three factions Reds (Lenin), Whites (Czar loyalists), and the revolutionaries who wanted a different breed of government to govern the new russian nation. At one point, the Reds who happen to be keeping watch over the Czar and his family are surrounded by White forces. They decide that in order to break the white's moral, they kill the Czar and his family.
When lenin is notified of this, he remarkes that he did nott authorize such a thing, but sees no problem with it.
The Russian Civil war is also the only conflict in which Soviet and American forces directly clashed
