((Ok, here's my musical. I've probably told some of you the gist of it, and I never really found out how to write it, but I decided to just wing it. By the way, this beginning might change. I only thought it up this afternoon.))
*The scene show's a little girl with long, wavy, light brown hair in a nightgown with a woman following behind her. The woman has extremely long raven hair and is very pale. She also has a round face and big eyes. The woman follows the little girl into small room where a soft, little bed is in one corner. The little girl runs and jumps onto it while the woman pulls up a stool to sit beside her.*
Twyla(Little girl)- "Mommy, I'm not sleepy yet. Please, can I stay up a little longer?" *The little girl sticks out her lower lip and stares at her mother with pleading eyes.*
The Mother- *She smiles and runs her hand through her daughter's hair.* "Alright. What would you like to hear?"
Twyla- *She suddenly bounces with excitement.* "A story about a princess, or a queen, or a ballerina!"
The Mother- *She raises an eyebrow.* "Hm, so it's those three is it?" *She raises a finger to her chin and pretends to be in deep thought.* "Hm...Perhaps a love story?"
Twyla- *Her eyes widen and she opens her mouth with awe.* "Yeah, a great love story. One with a happy ending!" *The little girl stares at her mother for a moment.* "One about you, Mommy. I want to hear a love story about you."
The Mother- *Her eyes widen in surprise.* "Why..Why would you want to hear a story about me?"
Twyla- "I want to hear about your prince, Mommy. I want to hear about my Daddy." *She's silent for a moment.* "I do have one...don't I?"
The Mother- *She is obviously upset and isn't sure what to say. She suddenly smiles.* "Of course you do, Darling. It's such a wonderful story. It was back when Mommy lived in the city, and do you know what? I used to be a ballerina."
Twyla- *amazed* "REALLY?!"
Mother- *nodding* "Yes, I used to go to school there. I was training to become the next Prima, and I hoped to even perform in the French Opera House. That was my dream."
