First was good, second sucked, third was decent, fourth was good, and fifth... well, it depends. If you like Halo for the shooting and blowing things up only, then no. But for people like me that actually find the plot interesting, episode five is pretty good.

And some of the comments bring up a good point, too much Japanese stuff on the elite homeworld

Something tells me that these episodes are separate from the regular cannon.

Aside from the Japaneseness, it seems that it could fit in with the regular cannon

Yeah! Whats with the freaking pagodas on an alien planet? The ODST's seem to take it all fairly well, but I'm mean COME ON!

*cough* the bungie game designers used the samurai for the concept of the elites *cough*
it fits into the main cannon, since i am such a geek. i have played and beaten every halo game (and the spin offs') on Legendary. I have also read all of the books. the books refer to the elite home-world as being like that.

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THE ELITE HOMEWORLD AND THE NATION OF JAPAN JUST SO HAPPENED TO DEVELOP THE EXACT SAME CULTURE AND STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE? BULLSHIT BUNGIE! BULLSHIT!
