HAY GUISE. Half of your characters have no motive for anything they do, and another quarter probably have backstories that make no sense. UNACCEPTABLE. I want you to post the backstories of any of your characters that have them. I will then compare these with the Alignment Thread (knew I'd find a use for that thing!) to make sure they make sense. I'll also see which characters don't have backstories and are just 'extras'. Please do this in the following format:
Character Name (Story of Origin) ------------------------------------------- Brief backstory.
I want to get to know just who I'm fighting, who's fighting me, who is the friend of another and why all of this is happening. Character development is the soul of literature, and no story is good without it. (*Cough* Twilight *Cough*). I'm not asking for a masterpiece here, but a sentence or two on why Zais is a murderous deity or why Cow-girl is so bloody annoying would be nice. I don't care so much about the extras, but major characters (Leon/Johnny/Sarah/Zais/Galiana to an extent/etc I'd like to know more about.
Example:
Leon Veralice (Awesome Land!: An Interactive Story) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Check his wiki article lol. There's too much for me to bother copying and pasting.

Name: Carter
Age: 16-18(?)
Description: Thick, mangled hair; brings to mind a wolf, or a wild man. He wears only pants, pairs of which he steals, because he owns no clothes of his own. He wears no shoes, and no shirt. Living in the wild for years has resulted in him being hyper-alert, sensitive, and fierce.
History: His parents were killed by Maximilion Padat, a man know as the "Thunder Man", a mercenary who possessed powers of the electric variety. His father had once been a mercenary who ran across Padat in several jobs, developing a rivalry between the two. One night, both were in a pub. Padat had had too much to drink and challenged Carter's father to a duel, to which he declined, refusing to fight and intoxicated man. Padat took this as an insult and attacked the other, not bothering to use his powers. Padat was easily overpowered, and then thrown out of the bar. Humiliated, Padat sulked away and vanished for fifteen years.
When he came back to repay his humiliation, Carter was 13. Padat first killed Carter's wife, before moving on Carter himself. His father sacrificed himself so that Carter could escape. Satisfied, Padat did not give chase to Carter. Out in the wilderness, Carter let the anger for Padat fester until it became a poison that consumed him. He stole two newborn wolf pups, which he raised. Having taken a special interest in the beasts, he knew enough about raising such wild canines. While not imprinted upon Carter, they grew into him and accepted him as a fellow wolf, as alpha. In contrast, Carter developed many wolf-like qualities himself, including his pack mentality, and physical strength.
Once the wolves were of a sufficient age, Carter return to civilization. Friga, and Fenrir (the wolves) accompanied him. He learned the location of the Thunder Man, hunted him down, and destroyed him. Satisfied, he fell in an unsteady existence. An urdan legend, and street rat, Carter wandered here and there across Awesome Land with Friga and Fenrir, learning recently of the disposition of Leon, and the succession of his sister, Aurora. Politics were never of any importance to him before, but the more he thought about it, the more he disliked the idea of someone else telling him what to do.
With the death of his parents avenged, Maximilion Padat killed, Carter turned his unending fury on the Grand Imperatrix, and her Imperial Army...
Weapon: own strength; Fenrir and Friga
Alignment: Anti-Imperial
((This is the actualy bio from the character thread.))
He's probably going to end up dead. You know, a limited time character.

Ah, Johnny, I know thee well.
Johnny Mambutoo O'malley (Awesome Land!: An Interactive Story)
Johnny is (for those who don't know) the son of King Randolf and Queen (...crap, can't remember) of Really Cool Land. He grew up semi-sheltered, raised on the heroic stories of Ventus, who defeated Xavian and saved the land long ago. Since then, he has always wanted to be a hero.
When the Beauty Mirror was stolen from the castle, he begged his parents to let him go after it, but they sent Sarah instead, armed with the True Sword. When she never returned, Johnny took it on himself to rescue his sister. He stole the remaining two Artifacts, and left for Awesome Land. In doing so, he ran into the Time Keeper, who was working for the King. He tried to stop Johnny, but he smacked him with the Ugly Stick and escaped.
He used the False Shield to disguise himself and work at McJimmy's until he could get close to Leon Veralice to learn about his sister...

Sarah Mambutoo O'malley (Awesome Land!: An Interactive Story)
Sarah is the elder sister of Johnny and princess of Really Cool Land. She grew up with the idea that she had to look out for Johnny, who was more likely to get into trouble.
When she went after Leon and the Beauty Mirror, she ended up getting trapped in the Veral Dimension. Being unable to locate Johnny, she got in contact with Cha Cha Watsrobe, who guided Johnny to her.
Now that she's been rescued, she still feels the need to protect Johnny, though she sees how he has grown. She has more of a desire to rule the Kingdom than Johnny does. He wants more to go on adventures.

Knox (Awesome Land II: The War of Four Kings)
Knox grew up a street rat in the slums of Fun Land. His only skills were being able to play blackjack well, and always being able to get out of trouble. He was quickly picked up by Suunatt Ara, head of Organization XXI.
with the front of a blackjack (21) group, the Organization secretly trained their members in the art of Focus, a high form of concentration, which makes time seem to slow around them, allowing for faster reflexes. Knox, however, actually COULD make time move around him, and Ara knew it.
Knox rose quickly through the ranks, coming to lead the Hearts Suit. During that time he gained friends, and finally had a purpose. He developed a relationship with Clover Suit Ace, Jiir-Row. Her betrayal of the Organization (and consequently him) dropped him back into a dressing funk. Her later death (at his own hands) only deepened that mood.
Being taken in by the Time Keeper brought him back to a near normal level, but was still haunted by her death. Once again, he sunk into depression, when the Time Keeper was killed by Karzem and Valsair. He finally left everybody. Now his true powers as the successor to the position of Time Immortal have not served to alleviate his sense of isolation. The prospect of eternity alone frightens him, and keeps him from pursuing his feelings for Sarah.

((The following are more or less filler, but have stayed on))
Cassandra (Awseome Land 3: Trial of the Wind Sage)
Cassandra was Johnny's childhood companion. She got into trouble with him (and was rescued by Sarah). She was a commoner, but the king and queen never disapproved, in fact, they thought it was good for Johnny.
After the first two seasons, the king and queen sent her to find the Royal Siblings. She found them. After many wacky adventures, she decided enough was enough, and went home.
She is in love with Johnny.
Ridley (Awesome Land!: And Interactive Story)
((I wrote this somewhere else))
Ridley was the eldest child of a lower middle-class Pterodactyl family. When his father fell ill, he took on the role of bread-winner. Eventually his parents both died, leaving him to take care of Rachel and Riley alone.
One day, when he was off collecting food, Leon kidnapped him and turned him into RIDLEY. Eventually, he was rescued after being revived and killed again. He returned to his family (who somehow hadn't stared). They returned for revenge, but now assist Johnny and Leon alike.
Jace, Sherri, Crass (Awesome Land II: The War of Four Kings)
The other three members of the Hearts. Jace is the new leader, now that Knox has left. Sherri is the smart one, and crass is the impulsive one.
Riley and Rachel (Awesome Land 3: Trial of the Wind Sage)
Young siblings of Ridley. Rachel is calm and methodical, while Riely is impulsive.

Name: Cow-girl (Jenny is her real name) Age: 16 Appearance: I drew a picture, but her hair is red, eyes are green. History: Jenny used to live on a simple farm with her family. She worked with the cows in the barn and milked them and helped to raise the calfs. She loved cows and based her outfit on them. Her family is really very simple. It consists of a father, Robert Farmer (Ha.), a mother, Helen Farmer, two brothers, George (8) and Michael (21), and a sister, Rachael (10). Jenny was probably the bubbliest out of all of them. She really lived a simple life with nothing really significant about it. Until one day, someone very peculiar came into town. His name was Cowman. She bumped into him while she was shopping and was instantly inspired. He left as suddenly as he came, however, and she vowed that she would become his sidekick. She left home in search of Cowman and changed her name to Cow-girl. She now fights mostly on her own with the power of Justice Milk. But where does she get this Justice Milk? I know just as much about that as I do about how she randomly pops up everywhere. She just does. And her annoying powers? She's always had them. A talent, really.

Any reason given for her annoying-ness?
