The show was/is infinitely better than Pokemon, but the card games and video games both flailed epically due to Bandai's ineptitude. I'm sure at least 90 percent of you here (which isn't much considering our...less than adequate user base) haven't watched/played an episode/game of Digimon, so don't bother posting if you haven't. Needless to say I don't expect this thread to get any (decent quality) posts.

I actually watched at least some of every season of Digimon, though I never played any of the games. I really liked all of them, but I haven't seen any in years/barely remember any of it.

I never played Digimon, but absolutely loved the show. That's part of my childhood right there!

Although i do agree with you about the show being better than its counterpart's, I find that it lacks the camp value that pokemon has. Pokemon had laughable, over the top voice-acting combined with a localisation process that turned the show into something bigger than it actually was. Pokemon became this sort of cosmic in-joke and a true uniting factor for many generations. Digimon had, more or less, actual competency working on its behalf, but when you watch the show today it just doesn't work.
Sometimes competence can be your downfall. lol irony
