CAPITALISM IS THE ULTIMATE TEST OF YOUR ABILITIES. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT, IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT AND YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE AFTERLIFE...
...unless you're atheist, in which case you're completely screwed lol

Success in a capitalist state is based completely on luck. Capitalism is a big casino; for every huge winner there are tens of millions of losers...and work (hard, easy, or non-existent) has very little to do with it.

Yeah, but the thing is the more I looked into it, the more i realized that public work collectivism is more socialist than fascist. Slowly but surely, I realized that straight up socialism is just a better system overall.

You need to understand that it has also never been truly attempted. The Soviet Union, although originally on track, ended up going down the road of super-state-monopoly rather than true socialism. Perhaps if Trotsky had come to power things may have been different. So here's my run down.
Socialism: Wealth is distributed evenly among the workers. Workers all collectively own the factors of production. Government provides free healthcare and education. Counsels with manned with people elected by the people make decisions on the minor levels, while the Government maintains other sectors. You have complete personal freedom.
The Soviet Union's form of Socialism (Stalinism): Wealth is given to those in the party. The workers are all paid and issued a mandated pay check. The State owns the factors of production. The Government controls everything from where you work to where you live. You are constantly monitored and inspected for potential crimes against the party. Stalin, and the men who followed him, completely betrayed the revolution.
China: For the most part, china managed to do things fairly well. Until Mao went nuts and started destroying all forms of expression. Now they don't even care anymore. Socialists my ass.
Cuba: lol wat. Also Che was the only real Cuban Socialist.

If it's never been achieved before, maybe there's a reason. It might not just be coincidence that every attempt so far has been unsuccessful.

Capitalism has worked uninterrupted for over two centuries. Communism ahs risen and fallen in more places in that time frame.
Besides. Capitalism is based on work.
Socialists gripe and moan about "Workers of the World" when all their doing is promoting mediocrity. If everyone is paid evenly, then there is no incentive to do a better job.
Plus it invites dictatorships a lot more than capitalism.

The reason why the Soviet Union "embraced mediocrity in all its glorious forms" is not due to socialism itself. The State controlled where you worked, what you did, who you married, everything. You had absolutely no control over your life and if you dared speak out against it; you would be unpersoned. With such terrible conditions would of course lead to disgruntled workers. Also, the majority of this can be stemmed back to my previous post concerning how true socialism has never truly been tried out. Stalin, Castro, Mao: they all betrayed the revolution. They turned their backs on what it represented. They gave a big middle finger to the proletariat and elevated themselves to a position of almost like that of a god. Oh, and capitalism can create what I like to call silent dictatorships. The rich will buy out senators and use them to pass bills in their favor. That and almost every non-communist dictator in the history of the world was elected democratically. That's a fact.

If it's never been achieved before, maybe there's a reason. It might not just be coincidence that every attempt so far has been unsuccessful. You also need to understand that every country that ever tried it was a virtual shit hole. They didn't have the resources to keep such a system running.
