All rise for the honorable Judge (whoever wants to be judge who is not me or the defendant.)
My opening statement:
Austin, a kind, happy go lucky guy just trying to earn a living in this cruel, workaday world. Zac MUNSON, his cruel tormentor, cut down poor Austin in the prime of his life. Not through daggers or swords - oh no! The weapon in question was far sharper and much more deadly than any blade could ever be. Zac MUNSON, through his words and words alone, destroyed Austin's reputation and reduced him to a state of misery and woe, leaving him for dead not physically, but emotionally. Easy to sympathize with? Of course it is. And why shouldn't it be? How would you feel if this malicious, slanderous, vicious creature destroyed you or someone you care about to a point of emotional despair? You'd feel terrible, and you'd want this man given the harshest sentence possible for his crimes. Before the end of this trial, jury, rest assured that the evidence will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that no one other than Zac MUNSON is guilty of the aforementioned crimes.

My comrade...Toby, is completely innocent. We have multiple eye-witnesses (I'm one of them) all claiming that he did nothing to discredit your name. You did it all by yourself.
The telescreen also captured it.
