I was just reading about this at TV Tropes (link not included to protect you all) a few weeks ago under its "Darker and Edgier" article. And then I checked the Wikipedia page for it and was like "HOLY ISH WTF." I had watched a few episodes in the past and thought they were a bit funny, but when I read the articles I'm glad I stopped watching it.

Ugh...I don't even. The articles alone have put me off the concept of hunting trips forever...yet I find myself wanting to see just how dark the show got to be...

Trust me. Its pretty damn dark, but its even more dark if you watch the entire series from beginning to end
