If The United states government were to take every bit of money, every single penny from every man, woman, and child. From every visiting citizen from another country and every illegal immigrant currently inside of us borders in all 50 states and all commonwealths and all territories. It still would not have enough to pay off the national debt which is now 13,062,534,352,741.34. the united states has 908 billion dollars in actual in your hand money. that leaves us with 12,154,534,352,741.34.
If you take not only all of the solid money but every checking account and every Traveler's check. the u.s. has 1.7 trillion dollars in value. That would have us owe 11,362,534,352,741.34
Take all of that money and also take every savings accounts, money market accounts, retail money market mutual funds, and small denomination time deposits (certificates of deposit of under $100,000). and we are worth about 8.5 trillion dollars. but the funny thing is, a lot of that money is speculation, which is projected and doesn't actually exist as real money.

So long as China, Britain, Russia, Japan, Nepal, Brazil, Argentina, Albania, Angola, Belize, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, Germany, Poland, Cambodia, France, Ireland, Chile, and Haiti don't call in the money we owe them, we'll be fine. But if they do, then its the end of life as we know it.
