With the old year rapidly approaching a close and many stories scattered about the site, it's only fair that those stories and their characters receive some sort of recognition for their efforts, which have been keeping the Interactive Story portion of the website running strong.
What I want each and every one of you to do is send me a private message (for anonymity and avoiding pressure reasons, obviously) detailing your favorite hero and villain and explain why. You may choose any good guy and bad guy from any story on this site or EHS Smash (our cousin), as it would be unfair to force you to choose between a pre-selected bunch of character for such a PRESTIGIOUS AWARD. Of course, this will cause problems if no one chooses the same character(s) as another person, which is why I have devised a plan:
On December 25 (AH YEA), I will tally up the scores for each character and post the winners on a thread. If all of the characters are tied, I will separate them into brackets, like so:
EXAMPLE: For Antagonist of the Year, Tyler chooses Time Keeper, Adam chooses Zais, Nicole chooses Jin and Austin chooses Malary from the Legend of Bob. Since they have all voted for a different character, they are separated into brackets.
Bracket 1: Jin and Zais
Bracket 2: TK and Malary
Now our patrons will vote in each separate bracket, and the winners of those will be pit against each other, like so:
Final Bracket: Zais vs. TK
Then our site visitors vote for this bracket, and winner takes home the Antagonist of the Year award. Any ties at the Bracket stages will be decided by our very own...J.K. ROWLING! No, not really. Moar liek Tyler.
The winner (owner of the character who got the award) gets 25 cents and an epic looking picture of their character drawn by Nicole, who has yet to agree to this. They should probably get some sort of in-story bonus too for the lolz.
Now that my 1800 character introduction is up, LET THE VOTING BEGIN. OR ELSE.
