"Magic." The girl hellan confirmed. "We were twins in the womb, but I was born a year early." SHe gave a look that said she REALLY didn't want to explain Hellan birth procedures.

Tyler Adden tapped Adam Ethan on the soldier. "I'm pretty sure that doesn't make sense."

Ethan slapped him off. "Different race, different world. Fuck off."

Cedric waved his hand casually. "Yeah, yeah. Freaky magical Hellen biology aside, we should probably get going."
"Yeah!" Yolanda explained. "I want to see more of this world!"
Adden sighed. After she gets a good look at New York, she'll wish she hadn't.

At the bakery counter, Stella ordered a bagel with cream cheese. By the time she had paid and taken her seat, it was toasted. She smiled secretly and the cashier gave her a funny look, but then shook his head. As she munched quietly, Krysta came rushing in, nearly knocking several patrons out of the way.
Without looking up, Stella said, "Good morning, Krysta."
"Morning, Sparks," she replied dreamily.
"What are you in such a rush for?"
"Hm?" Krysta had abruptly halted at her chair and stared off into space. "Oh, I was just reading your aura; you used your fire recently."
"Really?" She rolled her eyes. "I hadn't noticed. SO what was it - "
"You should be careful, Sparks. People in this world wouldn't take kindly to you doing so."
There she goes again with "this world". Krysta was convinced that there existed somewhere a world of magic. Stella was convinced she had read too many fantasy novels.
"Oh yes, I remember now, Sparks. I found the most curious shop just this morning. It appeared out of nowhere!"
"Great."
"Come on, you must see this!" Krysta pulled on Stella's arm with surprising strength.
"Ok! Geez."

Izzy was fiddling with a small device, leaning against the counter in his store when he heard footsteps outside. He glanced up and grinned, seeing two girls outside. Customers!

"This is it!" Krysta practically dragged Stella through the door.
The inside looked decrepit. It was dark, dingy, and smelly. Everything for sale (or on display; there were no prices) seemed older than her grandmother, and just as gnarly.
"What is this place, Krysta?"

Izzy jumped up and gave the two girls a toothy grin. "Welcome!" he said, arms wide. "What can I do for you?"

Startled, Stella stepped back. "N-Nothing, we were just browsing...leaving, actually." Now she took Krysta's arm. "Let's go."
"Hold on, Sparks, I want to look around. What kind of thing do you sell here, anyway?"

Izzy grinned slyly. "Why, I carry very special items." He said with a dramatic wave. With grace that looked out of place on the child-looking store owner, Izzy leaped over the counter. "I specialize in exactly what people need."

((something that will make her believe in magic/a magic world. Not necessarily all at once, but something will eventually convince her that magic is real. She doesn't quite accept her own magic, so something that will cause her to come to accept magic.))

Three Months Ago...
"We're here...And it's them again..." Karl sighed. Team Deathblade, Jin's band of anti-heroes bent on destroying the MotB, had once again encountered their rivals, the Dark Wing vigilante group, consisting of members who desired very much the same goal. Because of...irreconcilable differences, to say the least...each group had ended up fighting each other several times. This was to be their final encounter, however, as the heroes grew ever closer to the Frostlands, the desolate, icy wasteland that would be home to the last battle with the Mage of the Beginning.
Whoosh...
A low whistling sound could be heard as a bright flash could be seen in the morning blue sky.
"What was that?" All of Team Deathblade asked in unison.
"It looks kind of like...a shooting star?" Shadow Ella guessed from beneath hundreds of layers of clothing. For once in her life, the she-demon had decided to wear something...appropriate. Not even she was immune to the cool temperatures in the areas surrounding the Frostlands.
"Don't be silly." Karl hastily spat. "Surely some astrologist would have announced such an event, even in a barren place like this! And besides, it's so bright out here-" Karl, although more resistant to light than his brethren, still held a minuscule version of the vampiric weakness. "-that not even a shooting star's flash should have been visible."
Whoosh...
The whistling sound grew louder and the flash could be seen again, growing in proximity each passing second.
"Well, our only option here is to stare directly at it until it gets here!" Cid joked, laughing heartily as he crossed his arm, put on his sunglasses, and stared at whatever was coming toward them.
"That's such a moronic idea that I-" Karl began in a very insulting tone, only to be cut off by the whistling sound, accompanied by what seemed like a crackling or sizzling noise...
Whoosh...
The flash seemed to grow brighter and brighter and closer and closer. Now it was right next to the sun...
"-had better save you fools from demise! DUCK!" Karl yelled. In a rare act of selflessness (he had grown closer to his comrades over their time together), Karl snatched off his cloak and wrapped it around all of Team Deathblade, shielding them in a barrier of more-or-less solid darkness, just in time for the-
BOOM! BAM! CRASH! FTWAAAANG!
Very much like a meteor, something had crashed down into the space between Deathblade and Dark Wing, surrounded by a fiery vortex and rays of bright light. Sparks emitted from whatever had landed there, sparks that not only melted, but immediately destroyed the snow around them.
"W-What's that?" Karl, who rarely lost his composure, was abnormally frightened by whatever the thing was. Not because he didn't know what it was; quite the contrary. He was afraid because he thought he knew exactly what it was. He removed his cloak from the other members of Team Deathblade and put it on himself. Cryon, Shadow Ella and Cid all walked closer to Karl, equally frightened. Except Cid. He was too busy staring directly into the light of the thing.
"Stand back." Karl warned them. Without hesitation, he magically pushed them all several yards away, just in time for...
"Ha ha ha ha!" the meteor like pile of fire laughed in a booming, demonic chuckle. Rising from the hellish flames that surrounded him, the being looked very much demonic from behind the wall of fire. As it walked outside the barrier of flames, it revealed itself to be none other than Jin Raishak, master necromancer, deadly summoner, mass murderer...
He snapped his fingers a single time. The barrier of fire traveled in a stream like formation along the ground, destroying the snow completely, leaving not even water vapor in its path. The temperature of the area around them rose by at least 30 degrees. "I never did like the cold." Jin smirked. Another snap of his fingers and the stream of fire traveled from the ground, up his leg and around his body, surrounding him in that meteor like fire barrier again. A third snap of his fingers and the fire disappeared, leaving only Jin, his skeletal armor and his sword in its place, all of them much more powerful and sinister in appearance since the last time they were in the story.
Karl had a feeling that Jin was going to be angry. For what reason, he wasn't sure. Thus, Karl took caution in approaching the necromancer and, mustering all the strength he could, he did the unthinkable. He said..."Glad to see you're back, Jin." with as much of a smile as he could.
"No thanks to you." Jin spat, glaring at Karl and the rest of Team Deathblade.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Karl yelled defensively. "You told me to lead the team in your absence and didn't give me any clue as to where you were going!" More angry than fearful now, Karl was slowly regaining his usual demeanor.
"And I suppose that was a good enough reason to not search for me?" Jin smirked.
"Well, you...I mean...You left us with a mission to-
"SILENCE! Crimson Lightning!" Jin snatched off his necklace (which had a very strange diamond like gem attached to it) and pointed it toward Karl. A blood red stream of glowing plasma shot out at the vampire, sending him flying into the other members of Team Deathblade, who hastily helped him to his feet.
"How do you know that spell?!" Karl demanded. He would have rushed up to Jin, but he was being restrained by the other 3 members of the team. "That spell can be learned by high ranking vampires only!"
"Ha ha ha. Nifty magic, isn't it? Let's just say...Lyceras imparted his knowledge into me." Jin smiled devilishly. Karl glared at the gem Jin held intently. With his superior eyesight, he quickly noticed that a small figure of none other than the Vampire Archlord himself seemed to be imprisoned within.
"You...You trapped Lord Lyceras in a gemstone? You'll pay for-
"Silence. He got in my way. He had to be dealt with. At least I didn't kill him, right?" Jin laughed. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I really must greet our lovely friends over there." Jin pointed to the area not too far off where Dark Wing stood. No one seemed to be particularly frightened by him. Just angry. Very angry. "Don't do anything you'll regret while I'm gone." Jin commanded his team, and he swiftly walked over to Dark Wing for a fun filled...reunion of sorts.
((WILL CONTINUE SHORTLY))
