"Well, well, well..." Jin crossed his arm and steadily approached Dark Wing. One of the group members in particular, Safiria, was particularly irked by his presence. "Long time, no see." Jin shifted his soul piercing gaze from Ethan to Adden, from Adden to Sofia, and finally from Sofia to Safiria. His eyes rested upon her for a moment before he continued. "Ah. Miss Safiria, was it? How's the family?" Jin smiled with an expression whose sarcasm could not be comprehended by a normal mortal. Having burned down her entire village and massacring all her loved ones who lived there months prior, he made no effort to look even the slightest bit remorseful.
Clenching her fist and visibly trembling in rage, Safiria shoved her hand into the scabbard at her side and withdrew a snow white dagger from it. 'With this, you shall be avenged, son...' she thought to herself. "You bastard!" Safiria screamed, dashing toward Jin at lightning fast speeds, her dagger positioned toward his neck, the one part of him that wasn't armored. "You'll d-
Before Safiria could could get the dagger even an inch away from Jin, he had extended his hand straight in front of him, causing her to dash directly into his grasp, his hand wrapped tightly around her neck. "Come, now...I asked a simple question. Why so hostile in your response?" Jin smirked. "Of course, I suppose I will have to rephrase my question to suit your more...brutish style of answering." With little hesitation, Jin harshly slammed Safiria's head upon the ground, kneeling above her with his ever present smirk. "How's." He lifted her head up by her neck and slammed it harshly back down upon the warm, hard ground. "The." He did it once more. "Family!?" Once more, Jin smashed her head on the ground. This time, her skull was fractured slightly, and a small pool of pure red blood formed around her head, seeping into the earth.
"Jin, what are you doing?!" Shadow Ella demanded. "Leave her alone!"
"She is our enemy, Shadow Ella. Silence yourself, lest you be banished back to where you came from." Jin rose from his kneeling position and turned around, glaring at Shadow Ella with an expression that seemed to yell "I PLAY HARDBALL, MOTHER FUCKER."
"But, Jin...She didn't...I understand she's our enemy, but must you be so harsh?" Although Shadow Ella was a demon, she still did have human like feelings, and she knew cruelty when she saw it.
"I...said...SILENCE! Crimson Lightning!" Jin screamed. A bolt of plasma came from the gem on his necklace and knocked Shadow Ella straight off the ground, paralyzing her where she lied.
"Jin! I don't care how powerful you are. Don't go harming your allies!" Karl and Cid spoke similar words in unison, helping Shadow Ella, who could not move at all, to her feet.
"Hmm? So I am supposed to tolerate treason?" Jin asked. "Anyone who doesn't want me to do this-" Jin delivered a swift kick behind him into Safiria's ribs, breaking one or two of them. "-surely cannot be allied with me. Am I right or am I right?" Jin laughed.
"STOP!"
"What?" Jin, Shadow Ella, Cid and Karl all exclaimed at once. They all turned in the direction of the voice, which had come from...Cryon?
"Cryon, mah boi! You can talk!" Cid ran over to Cryon to pat him on the back, leaving Karl to hold Shadow Ella by himself. He almost collapsed under the weight of the demon. 'How much do you weigh?' he thought to himself, although Shadow Ella could sense what he was thinking. Her eyes shifted to him and glared for a moment before going back to Cryon.
"Ah, yes. Your first word! I suppose a thorough beating of your mother would trigger such an event..." Jin laughed, slowly swinging his foot forward and backward, kicking Safiria's ribs each time.
"J-Jin?! You're bullying the mother of your own team member? That's just..." Cid could not find any words to describe the horror of the situation Jin was causing.
Down on the ground, Safiria was coughing blood, struggling to lift her head just enough to see her child, muttering something along the lines of "S...Son? You...aren't dead? I...I'm happy..."
"She is our enemy first and his mother second. He is no longer a pure child. He is the soul of a child and the power of a demon concentrated in a single, young adult's body. As far as I'm concerned, he is no longer Safiria's son Richard, but my soldier. My servant. My creation. He should be happy that he gets to have a reunion with her after all this time!" Jin said. One couldn't tell if he was actually being serious in his reasoning. Chances are it was just Jin being a jerk for the sake of being a jerk, though.
"You...You're..." None of the Team Deathblade crew could find any word in the English language to describe how they felt about their leader.
"H...Hydro..." Safiria struggled to raise her hands into the air, muttering the incantation for the Hydrosphere spell, trying to send Jin away in a ball of water, just long enough for her to escape...
"It's a shame the reunion had to be so short lived..." Jin smirked. In a swift, fluid motion, Jin had turned around and slammed his foot onto Safiria's chest, forcing all of the air out of her, suffocating her, making certain she could not cast a spell.
"Gah...gah...uuuuuugggghhhh..." Those were the harsh, guttural sounds that came out of Safiria's mouth as she struggled to take in even a single breath of air. Each time she attempted to breathe, however, Jin forced his boot further into her chest.
"STOP! MAKE IT STOP! SHE'S SUFFERING!" Cryon yelled. His words echoed the words he had said so many months prior, when he had asked Jin to end the suffering of the village...Right before Jin burned the entire town to a crisp.
"Wow. I'm having some serious déjà vu here...So, Cryon...You want me to end her...'sufferfring'? Jin coldly whispered the same response he had given to Cryon months before. The same response that had culminated with Jin ending their suffering that tragic day.
Cryon said nothing. He couldn't say anything. He knew what was going to happen. The rest of Team Deathblade crowded next to the young boy, clutching his shoulders and staring at Jin with expressions of unbridled disdain.
"No response? You want me to continue inflicting pain upon her?" Jin asked in a sickeningly sweet tone, the kind a father or mother might use when talking to a newborn.
Cryon continued saying nothing.
"I see. You've learned a lot about keeping your mouth shut over your travels. But...Your expression says it all." Jin smiled. He removed his foot from Safiria and kneeled upon the ground next to her, placing his index finger right upon her breast. "I will end her suffering in the most permanent of fashions. Hellfire Silencer!" Jin screamed. His newest spell had been activated. A beam of concentrated, fiery energy came from his finger, going straight through Safiria's heart, irreparably piercing it. You could almost see the life fly out of Safiria as her eyes began to close, her coughing stopped, not one part of her moved...Team Deathblade was completely speechless.
Jin stood up, smirking as usual as he kicked the corpse, making sure it wasn't moving. "Ah, one more thing to take care of." Jin turned around to face Dark Wing. He couldn't see Vi'ir or Ella, but he had a feeling Dark Wing knew about them. "A person can come back to life if they have unfinished business in the mortal realm, correct? Well, with all the things Safiria so cruelly left behind..." Jin looked at Cryon, who, with his fellow Deathblade members, was trembling in rage, sadness and fear. "...and her strange vendetta against me, she probably has a lot of things to take care of. We'll have to make sure she doesn't come back to do that, won't we?" A silvery bluish wisp appeared above Safiria's body. It was her soul, and it slowly began to travel upward in an attempt to reach the afterlife.
"Not so fast." Jin laughed, thrusting his arm forward and grabbing the spirit. "Ah ah ah." He wagged the finger on his free hand disapprovingly. "Can't have you going about trying to ruin my plans...Farewell, Safiria." Jin clamped his right hand tightly, crushing the soul into an innumerable number of fragments. "Aero." he muttered, and a light breeze blew the fragments off with the wind.
