What do you mean irrational? Those things are watching us... learning from us.... they're everywhere.... and they won't stop.... not after the first herd died from swords.... not after the second from cage traps... and not after all the magma....
They just kept coming.... they wouldn't stop...
MORE MAGMA! PURGE THE MONSTERS WITH FIRE!

Left v Right or Up v Down?
I choose the one on the Right or the one that is Up.
I really hope I didn't just flood the forge.

I finished Boatmurdered. I just...yeah. First the Mandrills, then the Elephants OG GOD THE ELEPHANTS. Then the dwarves keep going insane. Then more Elephants. Then starvation and more insanity. Then three magma floods. Then Sankis is on fire killing everybody. Truly, it was a paradise.

Now read Headshoots. Then Syrupleaf. Which is ironic considering where I am at the moment...

Isn't that the point? Yeah, it's a complicated game, but it's loads of fun once you figure it out.

Yes... it's quite Fun.
In fact, I just had Fun, when I accidentally trapped my two miners in a cave w/ no way out. Then I had Fun by getting them to divert a river into the tunnels, for the Fun of it.

I had fun making a post apocalyptic world (via unleashing evil) and being forced to build my fortress in the sky.
I'd call it cyber-punk, but we're still using dark age technology.

Hurm.... Did the Kill Sat have multiple release points so as to allow a caravan through but not a siege?

Caravans didn't even show up. They were always slaughtered by the legions of horrors below. My fortress was made to be 100% self sufficient and now has a population of 789 dwarves. Been making this fort since October!
