...the best story we have besides Awesome Land, will be returning before the end of the month! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Former patrons of the story, I advise you to review your characters. I intend to have a hastily and completely contrived climax to the current 'issue', as it were, so we can move on to the next chapter. Once that new chapter is up, you newcomers (you guys with the names that start with a 'J') should make a hero and post if you so choose.

so...it's not a reboot, but a continuation?

Pretty much. Little is to be gained from a reboot since the story was very much in its infancy and subsequent chapters of the story won't rely too much (if at all) on knowledge of previous chapters. Contrast with Awesome Land 5: Rebirth and Rice Krispies, where most of the characters had been around for 3 years (and thus had extensive backstories), the plot was a direct continuation from Awesome Land IV (which went on directly from 3 and so forth) and the series was in desparate need of fresh ideas. In that case, a reboot happened to be the best plan of action for all involved.

Besides, when's the last time you've heard of a creator of a comic book rebooting the franchise?
