Kosmos Magikos
The Nkremistike Commonwealth - Anthrospini
Once a powerful Magocracy run by a unbroken like of Magister-Kings and supported by the aristocratic Grand Families. The Commonwealth crew large enough and powerful enough to encompass most of the anthronpini ethnic groups. The Magocracy oppressed the common folk and eventually they revolted after generations of abuse. With help from the Twelve Tribes, the Magister-King was toppled and the Magocracy brought to an end - a new nations was set in it's place - one run by the people. But the new Commonwealth was very unstable and a number of small areas seceded in the intervening years, resulting in the Free Cities. The Commonwealth had no choice but to allow the Grand Families to continue as they were in order to hold the fledgling nation together. Now they assert both political and militaristic pressure on the Commonwealth, with the goal to reestablish the old Magocracy. The Free Cities are shaping to be increasingly xenophobic and racists. While the government lets them continue so long as they support them, the people are furious and civil war is brewing.
The Skantaliaris Hegemony - Efkinitos
A shining example of what the Anthropini Magocracy once was, the Hegemony consists of an Imperial family that holds sway over lesser families, who in turn hold sway over even lesser families, who own land and peasants. The Hegemony enjoys a strict cast system: the Ypsilos sit at the top as the rulers and lawmakers; below them sit the Chioni, occupying the religious institutions; next come the Ammos, warriors and local police forces; Thalassa make up the merchant caste; and Xylo the farming and general peasant caste; finally, there are the Mavros, consdered so low in the cosmic hierarchy that they have more or less been ousted by the Chioni. The gods have not favored the Mavros, they are being punished for sins in a past life. Mavros While the majority of the commoners accept this as the design of the heavens, a sizable anarchistic movement exists in the underground of society. Despite several recent terrorist attacks, the Hegemony refuses to acknowledge the threat of the anarchists. Said anarchists are aided by a handful of Vrykolakas broods, who wish to see the Efkinitos fall from their inflated position. Because of the low birth rate and long lives, the gap between the older generation and the newer one is greater than in any other race, resulting in a stark difference in beliefs, thus anarchists to the Hegemony.
The Fold - Vyrkolakas
Unofficially the collective name for all the Broods in the world. Individuals are loyal to their Makers. If one Maker kills another, the leaderless Brood "officially" belongs to the victor, however, the orphaned Brood will seek revenge on the victorious Maker. Still, more often then not, the Brood will simply dissolve and become Makers themselves. Vrykolakas enjoy stirring up trouble for the other races and consider themselves superior. In this way, turning a mortal to one of them is called "Bringing them into the Fold" and is the highest honer one may bestow upon the living. Broods organize into larger political organizations called Courts, headed by the eldest Broodmate. There are, of course, too many Courts to name here. Court Realms overlap with other official political territory, as they consider themselves superior to the "daywalker" peoples.
Enomeos - Gigas
Despite their love of local, tribal rule, the Gigas ultimately see each other as family - one continuous, eternal family. In the vein of this, the Gigas refer to this world family as Enomeos, which means Strength of Family. Therefore, while the tribes may live apart, squabble, and hold grudges, they are all united in spirit and blood. Together, the Gigas can withstand any challenge, stalwart as the mountains they call home. It is not a "true" government as it is a far spread system of local governments, but the heads of each local group recognize the authority of another local leader. That's not to say they always agree on everything. Like the Courts, Gigas local governments typically overlap with larger political entities (namely Nkremistike and Skantaliaris), but recently, a trend has swept through the world, granting varying amounts of recognition to Gigas tribes.
The Adistoktos Autocracy (Agrios)
Representing the "live or die" mantra, the Adistoktos Autocracy holds the Agrios under an unflinching iron fist. Sitting on top of the proverbial pyramid is the Athanatos, the strongest of the Agrios - a position that is semi-inherited. When the previous Athanatos dies, his or her children fight for the right to rule. A winner is decided when only one is left alive. Theoretically, the Anthanatos is open to challenge from any of the populace, but seldom do. As such, the Athanatos does not have a personal guard nor a standing army - he or she simply calls for warriors when needed - and they answer. A handful of upstart Agrios have appeared on the scene recently, each claiming to be as strong as or stronger than the current Athanatos, who is a commoner who killed the previous ruler some eleven years ago. Immediately afterward, she killed everyone whom she thought could possibly challenge her, leaving a bloody year carved into the memory of the people, as well as deep dissension. She refuses to put down these insurgents, despite one of them claiming to be the previous Athanatos' son.
Other
In the case of the Anthronpini, Efkinitos, and Agrios, the single respective nation listed above is merely the largest, most influential racial nation. There are plenty of smaller nations that have developed, usually along ethnic lines which (when thought of, or relevant) will be listed here.
