Greetings, mortals, peasants and other YourStorians. As some of you may know, Awesome Land!: An Interactive Story was first created August 8, 2008 by yours truly. It has since evolved into a super-massive collection of stories, each one consisting of its own set of characters, locales, artifacts and events. Seven weeks from now will mark the five year anniversary of the story's creation. We've reached half a decade and we're still going strong. In honor of such a thrilling achievement...I'M PUTTING YOU ALL TO WORK.
Being such a super-massive collection of stories (each with its own characters, locales, artifacts and events) comes with a major drawback: having to keep track of them all. To that end, I bring to you the Awesome Continuum Wiki! Started a few years ago, it is (or would be) a comprehensive compendium of all of Awesome Land's (and related stories') events. It is rather lacking at the moment, bearing a measly 104 articles. That may seem like a lot for a loose collection of amateur writings, but it certainly is not! There is at least 500 articles' worth of information in the first Awesome Land! alone. This is where "Awesome Wiki Week!" comes in. Every day, for the next seven days, I want each contributor to the Awesome Continuum (that is, anyone who has ever posted in an Awesome Land/Awesome World/Cardinalos story...namely, ALL OF YOU) to create at least one article on the Awesome Wiki. It can be about a specific story, a major character, a minor character, an overpowered magical artifact, an underpowered magical artifact or anything else relevant to the continuum. Don't exert too much effort trying to do this though. If you've got some important job (working at NASA, for example) that might prevent you from getting an article up every day, don't worry about it...just do double duty on the weekend. And if you have the time (and inclination), you may feel free write more than one article a day. If all goes well, we could hopefully increase the number of articles on the Wiki by 50%. And perhaps this week will promote more interest in the Wiki, leading to people adding and editing articles once these next seven days are up.
SO THERE'S MY SPIEL. HAVE AT IT, FOLKS. GOOD LUCK AND GODSPEED.
Second Awesome Wiki Link for those who didn't see the first one!
