The Skylands
Just as there exists a set of lands below the Sea, there also exist a set of lands above the clouds: the Skylands. Once upon a time, these Skylands were a part of the surface, but eventually became tired of the constant fighting happening and so divorced themselves from the land. Despite having retreated to the sky, the people living there were not able to fly naturally, so each land utilizes their own, unique flying mount.
Norestia – the land that once existed between Esteros and Northyros. The Norestials utilize griffons as mounts.
Norwend – the land that once existed between Northyros and Wessos. The Norwendese utilize pegasi as mounts.
Sowindia – the land that once existed between Wessos and Southyos. The Sowindians utilize wyverns as mount .
Soesssen – the land that once existed between Sothryos and Esteros. The Soessic utilize artificial, mechanical bird as mounts.
