I TOTALLY DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT THIS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOPE NO WAY NO HOW
Anyway, here's the template for country information for the world of Terravene. I'll maintain this post as a list of accepted countries, so if you want to add a new one put it below. If I don't see any problems with it, it will be copied here and become canon.
Also, I'm not planning on making a template for creating a new race, but if you want to add one for a new country (or add one to the population of an existing country), put a description in the discussion thread. If we actually have a bunch of these I'll probably make a seperate thread for it, but until then fuck it.

Allied Nations: None, formally, but Zaezen hired Slayers from many different nations. Velestro may have been the closest thing to a political ally.
History: Never a very large or prominent country, Zaezen nevertheless prospered economically as an important trade route between Velestro and the eastern lands. The strength of their trade was such that Zaezen had no need of a Slayer Academy; it never wanted for protection.
However, about thirty years prior, Zaezen was beset by what would come to be known as the Great Zaezen Horde. A sudden increase in monster attacks occured all throughout the country. The Senate was forced to mobilize the relatively superfluous Self-Defense Forces and hire more and more Slayers.
With the monsters steadily increasing, Zaezen strained. It's economy tanked practically overnight and the ZSDF was forced to institute a draft. First young men, then young women, then any able-bodied adult. Then children.
Years into the Horde, Zaezen attempted to establish its own Slayer Academy, hiring foreign Slayers to teach. But, as the war raged on, and the military lost ground, untrained Slayers were sent into battle, only to die.
Aftera decade of the Horde, Zaezen had become a military state with the Senate only existing to legitimize the military's decisions. What little money remained (traders had long since abandoned the country) was funneled into dust experiments, searching for ways to turn humans into weapons of Slayer caliber. Entire towns were injected with dangerous amounts of dust, only to be abandoned to the agonizing death and madness that resulted, in the hopes of delaying the horde. Some towns were "dusted" to awaken abilities less dangerously. It was just as dangerous, but the effects too longer to manifest. Almost as many died from the military dust campaign as the horse itself.
In the final years of the conflict, Zaezen descended into a confusing war of monsters, the military, military experiments, and those citizens who feared all the others. After nearly thirteen years, the Horde had swept through Zaezen, leaving absolute devastation in its wake.
Additional Information: Zaezen is a dead land, now. Some say it's haunted by the spirits of the people who died, especially those who were experimented on. While that may be folklore, what is known is that the lnd is poisoned. Nothing grows there. The air is dangerous to breathe. Not even monsters linger anymore.
