Nicole watched as the battles around her were finishing up. She took it as a chance to escape, but there were still people infront of her. She called her Vulpix and Rapidash back and hopped on Bronco. She turned back to the person she had been battling (Tyler?) and gave a quick smile. "Let's just say you one, k?"
She rode off and jumped over the wall, heading to wherever they were supposed to retreat to.

"Yolanda, it's okay," Eric said, quickly falling in step beside her, returning Wraith to his Pokéball. "You'll get another chance. Right now we just have to get everyone out of here safely." He reached over to his shoulder pocket and pulled out his phone. "Phoenix HQ, we need transport from Burlain." He hesitated. "... We've lost." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Michael watched as the defeated Phoenix members gathered away from the Burlain wall. He saw Eric back away and turn to walk beside Yolanda. He took this chance to break into the city. "Xero! Use Fly! Get me in the city!" The Waspear, using his newly discovered strength, hooked his spear-drills around Michael and lifted him into the air, lowering him safely on the other side of the massive wall. Michael handed Xero his Pokéballs, and the Waspear hovered over to the PokéCenter to recover from the battle. Meanwhile, Michael headed off to find Wesley and the others. |

(Isn't this season supposed to be "Phoenix Rising"? Shouldn't Phoenix be gaining power, not losing it? I think we should let them leave and see how they regroup and pull back together. Season Two can be "Down in Flames" or something.)

(Okay. They do come back in Season two (EX CINIS CINERIS) remember that? Anyway... tomorrow I'll start season two "Fire, Ice, and the Red Sun. There's a bunch of new pokemon in the thread for them
also, Gym leaders are open for use. They have their own thread. Say so if you want one.)

(But what happened to Phoenix Rising?? All Phoenix did was massacre everyone with Magma's help and then fall apart. This season can't be over yet... It hasn't fulfilled its title. Either continue this season or change the title. If you're so eager to move on to Season Two, I recommend my title from earlier as a replacement: Down in Flames.)

(They did rise to power, for an extremely short time. Until Magma turned against Phoenix, they were about to conquer all of Novien. Then they lost control of all but Fraisrusk, Burlain, and Darangind. Then finaly Burlain fell, leaving them cut off between the two HQ's, and with much tension between the two groups.)

(That doesn't really fulfill the title though. If the title is Phoenix Rising, it should be about how Phoenix rises to power and holds its power for a long time (at least, longer than we made it). Phoenix Rising is a cool title, but it doesn't match the story. The story mostly about the rise and fall of different groups: Phoenix joining with Magma, Phoenix and Magma taking over Novien, Magma turning against Phoenix and ruining everything, Phoenix losing Burlain and falling apart. Down in Flames just seems like a more fitting title to me.)

(Whatever. Let's just start Season Two. Let's say it's a couple months after the Battle of Burlain so they have time to recover. Paladin is the group that is going around to all the gyms. I think Nicole should be a part of Paladin now. And Paladin will start the journey in Durgood, just like everyone else has to.)
