lol y is thar no final fantasy thred. Whatever. I suppose it's my job to created one then. This thread is for every FF game before VII, including Tactics. When it crossed into 3D it slowly went downhill...SO DISCUSS FGTS

The early FF games had some serious issues with direction. You didn't always know where to go, which was ANNOYING.

How is that the point? It's just annoying. I'd fly around for half an hour until I randomly stumbled across where I was supposed to go.

I just beat FFI and the lack of direction was so true. Not to mention the plot and backstory were cliche and nonexistent, respectively.

I think it would've been cooler if they had explained the backstory. You've got 4 people who show up with crystals, defeat a knight, travel back in time and find out that he created a super paradox to gain immortality and somehow got 10000 times stronger. MAKES NO SENSE. Why did Garland turn evil? Why did the king not try to get his daughter back? Where did the Warriors of Light get the crystals? Questions eternally unanswered...Although they did try to give Chaos more backstory in Dissidia, which U MUST GET.
