Explain how Socialism will kill your motivation to work. Will it take away your freedom to choose a job? Will it tell you who to marry? Who to talk to? Will it tell you what to buy? Or perhaps what to like? Now explain to me EXACTLY how it'll kill your motivation to work. There will always be lazy people. You can't fix that.

Think about it. Not even adressing the illegal immigration issue, there are thousands of people who do not work now of their own choice. THAT's what spreading the wealth is all about Wes. Giving to the poor to try and balance out the classes. Unfortunatly the world isnt that ideological and most of those lazy people who get the money just think "Oh hey another way to get free money"

but the point we're making is that under the new healthcare system, the working folks are now PAYING FOR EVERYONE ELSE'S HEALTHCARE. I get that not everyone is lazy, but those that are have less motivation to get a job, since other people are now paying for them to have healthcare.
Also, why should the government even out salaries for every job? All jobs are not equal, so why should they be treated like they are?

And while on the topic of why it wouldn't work, let's consider this.
So sure, you have to get a job to make money. If that's all it takes, everyone can go get some easy job that barely contributes to society, and make the same as the people that actually try hard to succeed.

There are people who work and are impoverished.
Socialism evens out wages so that poverty, in theory, is abolished. Its not about having a job thats more important, its about keeping the society as a whole going. You need a guy to take the trash away from the restaurant so that the owner can keep his restaurant clean so that he can feed the masses, so they can go out and do their jobs. Each one seen as an essential part of the group, and given a paycheck equal to the guy taking out the trash.

TEAM_DERRICK- I never said anything about people not working, I meant people not working efficiently(though I could have worded it better  ) @wes- But why BE the restaurant owner, when you can make the same amount just taking out the trash?
