Zais was currently standing amidst a ruined town, apparently abandoned many years ago. He could feel the power here. It was quite a good feeling. Zais raised his arms and immediatly darkness began to shoot forth from them. The shadows took form and changed into large armored....things.
"Examine these ruins. I want the source of this power found." Zais barked. The shadow dudes set out on their task. Zais created another portal. He stepped through and ended up back on the island.
Now there was a dark bastion in its center, taking up much of the island. Zais went inside.

Amidst the shadows of the ruins, a Blur flashed by. That's right. The Blurs are back.
The Blur followed the two shadow soldiers around the town. He must not let them discover too much about this town. Rhikonyn was too important a town to allow the minions of evil to wander about its ruins.
The Blur zipped past the shadow soldiers, causing a strong wind to blow the soldiers over. Suddenly, the Blur began to take a physical form. His head was covered in bright red hair. One eye was red, and the other was blue. His shirt was orange, clashing with his blue jeans. (That's not a gay fashion reference. It's a reference to art: blue is the opposite of orange.) His cloak was pure white; not a stain showed on the plain white cloth. The figure was of medium height, and his incredible strength could be seen in his mien. A long scar stretched from his right cheek to the back of his jaw bone.
The figure raised a white bow with a brown handle, and pulled two wooden arrows back on the string. He aimed at the two shadow warriors and fired. The arrows moved so rapidly that they seemed to create friction with the air and ignite in mid-flight. The arrows drove deep into the armor of the soldiers, and the shadow soldiers were instantly set aflame.
"I am Iyephra, the Scorching Wind, Guardian of Rhikonyn," the figure declared, still aiming his bow at the two burning soldiers, who were running around, trying to put out their fires. "None have crossed me and seen another day." He strung another arrow to his bow, this one igniting into white flame while still in his hand. "And I will hold true to my reputation."
He released the arrow. The arrow flew faster than the eye could see, landing in the earth in between the two frantic shadow warriors. The earth erupted into white flames, engulfing the soldiers in the heat of a thousand suns. Iyephra disappeared, and the soldiers saw a Blur flash away into the woods.
That was the last thing they saw. The earth began to crumble beneath them. The ground shook violently, then finally gave way. The soldiers fell into the depths of the earth, the white flame bursting from the pit and creating a pillar one hundred feet high. Iyephra heard the soldiers' screams as the ground was created anew, closing over the doomed shadow warriors.

Johnny, still not sure where he was, continued on deep into the unknown lands to find the mysterious World Nexus.

Zais was sitting in a lavish room in the upper towers of his new sanctum. The room was decorated with various spell books, weapons, and trophies from previous worlds.
A scythe rested over a large fire place. Magical books in place on a book shelf. A tapestry hung from the far wall, depicting the eight-pointed star of Chaos.
Zais had his eyes closed in concentration, going over various stradegies. The shadow army was realitvly new to his use, having only been used on one other world. Zais needed to figure out how to more efficiantly control them.
His eyes snapped open sharply as he felt the loss of his warriors.
Someone had killed his troops........again.
Zais stood up calmly and walked over to a door that led out on a balcony. He gazed out over the sea with calm contempt.
"Sindri." he said suddenly. A shadow formed on the floor behind Zais, slowly forming a cloaked figure, face hidden.
"Yesss sire." he said in a oily, if not somewhat smug voice. Zais turned to the figure.
Take a platoon of shadow hunters back that town. Someone is trying to meddle with my plans." he said in a calculating tone. Sindri nodded.
"Of course ssssire." he bowed and melted away again. Zais sighed and turned back to his veiw.
"Everytime." he muttered.

~Guess I'm on his side.~
Johnny rushed over to assist this strange warrior.

As Iyephra walked calmly through the woods, a twig snapped behind him. He stepped behind a tree, his years of stealth experience being put to good use. He barely had to try to not make any noise. He raised Rhikon and strung an arrow. He peered out from behind the tree to see a young man with a glowing Sword and a strange, gnarled Shield.
"Halt!" Iyephra shouted. His voice boomed throughout the woods, as if an omnipotent being had uttered the words for all to hear. "Who goes there?"

Meanwhile, Goziad was wandering through the woods when he heard Iyephra's words as if the same omnipotent being were asking him the question.
"It is I, Goziad," he answered. When the voice didn't reply, Goziad looked puzzled. He raised Azeura and cautiously continued through the woods. When the voice had remained silent for several moments, Goziad felt it was safe and, feeling slightly foolish, sheathed his sword. ~Just a trick of the wind,~ he thought. ~Now to find Johnny.~

Sindri materialized a few miles away from the ruins of Rhickonyn, a squad of shadow hunters in tow. Shadow hunters were the assassins of the Dark Army. They were all thin with a wiry build, instead of bulk like the typical warrior. They were each wearing a black body glove, with various pockets and peices of armor, and a scarf around their faces. Glowing yellow eyes shown past the gray skin, calm and deadly. Each one was bald, with strange cryptic tattoos on their heads. They each carried duel short katanas as well as throwing knives.
They were the perfect assassins.
Sindri motioned the assassins forward, stalking quietly towards the town. Upon reaching the town border, they scattered, vanishing among the shadows with out so much as a whisper.
Alone, Sindri strode nonchalantly into the town. His ears perked up, hearing a voice. He shrugged it off and made his way to the town center. There he found the corpses of the shadow warriors sent to investigate.
"Interesting." he murmered, his voice hissing and cold. "It appears that there is a guard to this power." and power there was, Sindri could feel it racing through him, senting jolts of almost ecstasy down his spine.
He stood, and waited. Whatever guarded this place would come to him.

~Who goes there? Who says that anymore?~ Johnny mused.
"Uhh...It is I... Johnny Mambutoo O'Malley of Really Cool Land." Johnny guessed at the correct way to answer the question. "Who, may I ask, is asking, of my name?"

A shadow warrior walked up to the door of Zais' private chamber. He was wary to enter his master's room, not wanting to disturb him.
After all, Zais worked hard to plot evil deeds. Then the arrior heard music comming from the other side of the door.
Do a little dance!
Make a little noise!
Get down tonight!
ummmm.....yeah. "Maybe I'll give my report later." the warrior said, walking away from his master's........plotting.

Imaldtyn had changed once again. The Humors Galro, Vespi, Quolop, and Heimrall awoke from their sleep to find the land was different from when they went to sleep.
They had been sleeping for ages.
"What the..." Vespi stared at the land. Nothing was the same. she had no idea where they were. "What happened here?"
"It seems Random World lives up to its name." Galro observed. "I can't sense the World Nexus anymore can you?" He asked his fellow Humors. they all shook their heads.
"I suppose the changed geography has scattered the energy signature." Quolop suggested.
"What do we do?" Heimrall qustioned.
"I don't know..." Galro trailed off. "Look!" He pointed to smoke coming from a nearby town. "What's going on over there?"
"Whatever it is it can't be good." Vespi answered.
"Let's go check it out!" Heimrall suggested eagerly.
The four Humors flew off in the direction of Rhikonyn.

Elswhere, hidden in the shadows, the Shadow hunters were beginning to doze.

"Johnny," Iyephra repeated. "I am Iyephra, the Scorching Wind, Guardian of Rhikonyn. Are you friend or foe?"
Iyephra stepped from behind the tree that was his hiding place, feeling that it was sufficiently safe.
At that very moment, he felt a strange buzz in the back of his mind. Rhikonyn!
He instantaneously turned invisible, and his Blur zipped past Johnny toward his home town.
"If you are a friend, you will return with me to the ruins of Rhikonyn!" his voice boomed again. "I have been called, and I must answer!"

Sindri felt Iyephra's approach and turned with a sneer. "So, the game finally begins." he said smoothly. The shadow hunters woke up and readied their blades.

"What the hell... dammit, another blur!" Johnny had no choice but to follow Iephyra since the land was unfamiliar to him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elsewhere the Humors arrived in Rkihonyn. Seeing the destruction that lay before the tiny Elementals, they produced their weapons. (the Humors are less than a foot high, and hover using wings).
Even their small size mattered little in a battle.
As they prepared for conflict, a blur rushed passed them, followed closely by a young man.
Sindri turned right as the blur reached him. He jumped out of the way with unnatural speed.
"Yessss!" he hissed. 'Finally." then he noticed Johnny behind him.
"Ermm weren't you with Lord Zais?"
Iyephra saw Sindri and his shadow warriors as he approached Rhikonyn. Great. They were already there... But something was amiss. It was almost as if they were waiting for him.
Removing the thought from his mind, Iyephra raised Rhikon and drew back an arrow. He released it, striking down one shadow warrior, then strung another arrow, releasing a mere second after the first. Shooting off two more arrows at another shadow warrior, he drew a short blade from a scabbard on his belt and stabbed another shadow warrior.
"I am Iyephra, the Scorching Wind, Guardian of Rhikonyn," he announced (he says that a lot; get used to it). "Who are you, and what is your purpose here?" he demanded of Sindri.
~Iyephra! That scum!~ Goziad thought as he remembered his first encounter with the Scorching Wind. He touched his face, feeling the shadowy scorch mark the boy's mother had left on him. ~Perhaps I can get another dose of revenge and return home!~
He stabbed his sword into the ground, and a large chunk of the earth rose into the air. With a flourish, Goziad pointed his sword in the direction of Rhikonyn. The hovering piece of land flew in the direction he pointed, carrying him twice as fast as he had been traveling previously.
Sindri turned slowly, a grin hidden behind his black cloak.
"So, you are the one that causes Lord Zais so much trouble." he sneered. "You are just a boy." he said looking Iyephra up and down. "It is a shame you must die now."
And with that, a shadow hunter appeared behind Iyephra with his blades at the boy's neck. Another appeared in front of the Guardian, his blades aimed at the boy's heart. This hunter had an arrow stuck in his chest where Iyephra had shot him.
He didnt look phased in the slightest.
