Okay. For the past two years, this site has been a fun escape from real life, basically run only by us students at Etowah. But for me, it's been a step towards something greater. A big role-playing/interactive story site with members not just from school, or people we know. But as it is, it sucks in comparison to other similar sites. Here are a few provided to me by Austin. www.idolachronicles.proboards.com/ <--- A particularly good example because it too is on proboards. www.surrealtwilight.com/viewforum.php?f=81www.aedolyn.net/forum/Take a look around and see how ours differs. I don't know how much you all care, but I do. We need to clean the board up. Not necessarily getting rid of things, but really being organized. Putting threads in the proper places, and not taking up so much space with our personal lives. We cans till do that, but in a specific place. Suggestions?

If you guys want a site where you can play "WHO CAN SPAM THE MOST AMOUNT OF JUNK" all day long, you all can make you way right over to EHS Smash. If, however, you desire a site for roleplaying (this site's original purpose in being created, mind you) then we have problems we need to address. MAKE YOUR CHOICE.

The site wouldn't have to change much. More emphasis would be placed on stories, rather than random bullshit.

I don't know if we'd actually be able to handle more people, if it actually came to that point. And I don't mean a few more kids. That would be great, but let's say 20 people join. 20 people will want to post in a bunch of stories and 20 characters or more (probably more like 50) will be running around in one story trying to do their own thing. I know that's what they'll do because that's a little like what I did when I first got here. I didn't know what to do, so I just made my own character with my own thing until I learned. With more people it would be harder, and we'd have to control it. Maybe we should expand a little, but try to keep it small.

Not a GIANT expansion from the start, no.
But I can handle big stories. Its partly why I make so many characters.
If worse came to worse, we could always player-cap a story. Make it so only twelve people could join. Or something. We want a lot of stories though, but most of all, loyal posters.

Quotas would be for the best. No sense in having Awesome Land VIII with 1000 people. The way I see it, each story would have a Game Master (i.e. the thread creator) who is entitled to set arbitrary caps at his discretion.

They'd probably want certain people in the stories, too. You'd rather have a story with friends rather than strangers.

I don't anticipate that people will flock to the site in groups of friends. And the quota will have to comply with the administrator's preset guidelines.
