So, while I was flipping through my notebook at the end of a NSBE meeting a few minutes ago (my art notebook is actually my miscellaneous notebook, holding all of my notes that don't pertain to a particular subject) I got two compliments on my first drawing (girl, long hair, shorts, generic sandal like shoes. That one.) The first was from a girl who said "Hey, that's pretty good. Is that anime?" Presumably this means that the drawing was both anime-esque and girl-esque. The second was from a guy who said, and I quote "Ay man, I feel ya. Titties and shit." Presumably this shows that I can draw boobs...I guess?
I'll post another drawing either tonight or in the morning once I figure out the FRIGGIN EYES ON IT.

He definitely is the most bro of all the engineering majors I've seen here. You'll probably need a brodar to track him down, though. Always on the move. Anyway, here's one I just did. This was more for experimentation than actually trying. I wanted to see how a leg might look turned on its side, experiment with drawing actual hands, etc. After about a half hour of thinking I decided to give up on drawing an eye. I couldn't figure out the perfect eyes for her, so I said "IT'S TIIIME TO PLAAAAAAY COP-OUT! QUESTION 1: HOW CAN WE GET OUT OF DRAWING THIS GIRL'S EYES?" My answer? Have a crapton of hair over the right side of her face and have the other eye closed. EZ. I don't particularly care for the results, but like I said, this was just an experiment. I'll be drawing/posting a better one either later this evening or tomorrow. EDIT: Forgot to include the picture. LOLOLOLLOLOLOL  EDIT 2: The utterly ridiculous shirt that can probably only be held up by magic? THE LESS I HAVE TO DRAW, THE BETTER. I was going to put her in a school girl uniform, but after 10 minutes I realized that...I CAN'T DRAW A SCHOOL GIRL UNIFORM. Next best thing? RIDICU-SHIRT AND JEANS, MOTHERFUCKERS. |

Link much appreciated, Derrick. Now that my first week of experimentation and getting down a couple basics is almost over...THE REAL LEARNING CAN BEGIN. Once I draw a picture of semi-adequate quality, I'll post it here. I've an abundance of free time today, so if I don't spend all day sleeping perhaps I'll get a picture up today.
