Wait, hold the phone. Remember, Ganon was never created, because OoT NEVER HAPPENED. It was just a dream, meaning the entire series is a paradox strung together by green clad heroes and various features. This creates a problem in continuity, for Loz/LoZII cannot exist thanks to the necessity of Ganon; unless, the entire series is seen as a Split Timeline with 2 Universes, 1 where Link does OoT and 1 where he does MM.
Universe 1 goes like OoT - LoZ - LoZII - Minish Cap - L2thePast/4Swords (essentially being the same game). This makes sense as all of these games rely on Ganon, thus all maintaining some continuity.
Universe II, however, relies on Ganondorf being untransformed, goes OoT - MM - WW - other games.
Now, where does TP fit in? Obviously, it cannot. Both universes deal with defeated Ganon parts then their demise. Obviously, GDorf cannot be killed twice in 2 Universes. I think that essentially, this is a deviation of Universe 1 or could in fact be part of it. For, Ganondorf has to be sealed, so that is covered in Universe 1; however, because he dies, would that not imply another branch in that continuum? Not exactly. Ganondorf could come back as Ganon thanks to another villain, as all other villains try to do anyways, but in a game that is not yet released.
That brings about another point. It can be accepted that OoT is the beginning and WW is the end, but the "middle games" cannot so easily be ordered. This means that all could fit into a timeline, just that all of the timeline is not present. Remember, there are 100 years between OoT and WW, meaning all sorts of confusing crap could have happened between then.
But then again, maybe there is no timeline. Maybe, because all of them are Legends, the games just represent tales told by "real" Hylians to explain a sword, three golden triangles, and a fabled Hero.
