Having mysteriously disappeared during the Battle of Burlain, Ryan Kasan had been enduring intense training in the three months since then. His Dratini, Ryu, has since evolved into a Dragonair and has learned to manipulate weather with ease. Along the way, Ryan captured Sal, a Bagon, and Blade, a young, cold, but loyal Scyther. At times he thought he should have more than 3 Pokemon in the months he spent training he merely looked toward his companions and their unrivaled strength and loyalty.
Quality over quantity. Ryan thought. He was wearing a new outfit now, a black vest over a red T-shirt and black jeans. He also had a special belt given to him by his mother. It had a Pokeball shaped buckle and had notches for 6 Pokeballs and 16 badges. He checked his spiffy new watch and made his way toward the area that held his first badge. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Irusion, Shadow Force!"
"Iru...IRUSION!" said a mysterious, seemingly cloaked Pokemon. Before long it had disappeared.
"Wh-where did it go? Alakazam, use Calm Mind to find out its-" came the nervous voice of a young man. He had never faced a battle this tough before and was certainly not prepared. Before Alakazam had the chance to use Calm Mind, it was already knocked out.
"You disgust me." came the voice of Irusion's trainer. It was cold and distant, almost to the point of being non human. "I'm surprised you got past the other Four."
The young trainer who had just lost whimpered on the ground as he stared at Alakazam.
"Irusion, finish this. Hyper Beam."
"B-But! Alakazam is already knocked out! What kind of official are you?!" pleaded the young man.
"It isn't over until your Pokemon takes its final breath." came the voice that could be ascertained as that of the League Champion of the Novien region.
"IRU!" Irusion yelled, firing a beam of intense, white energy at Alakazam, hitting its trainer who tried to protect it.
"Get out of my sight. Come back when you're stronger." the Champion said before pushing the challenger and his Pokemon into the elevator and sending him down to the 1st floor where he would have to face the Elite Four all over again.

"Fury swipes!"
"Watch out, Ithica!" The large cat Pokémon leaped at the Scyther, claws outstretched, but the great mantis hopped backwards expertly. "Wing attack!" Ithica hunched down once it landed and sprung at the Purugly and spread its wings. The attack connected and Purugly skidded to one side.
"Shake it off. Pursuit!" Purugly vanished. Ithica halted, confused. A few tense seconds passed before... Purugly slammed into Ithica's back, sending it tumbling head first across the floor.
"Ithica!" Ithica struggled to stand, propping itself up on its blades before collapsing. "Good job, come back." A beam of red energy extended from its Poké Ball and retrieved the fainted Pokémon. Tyler stored it back in his pocket, and pulled out another one.
A Crobat appeared in he air over the arena.
Kaz huffed. "Fine then. Come back, Purugly. Go! Zangoose!"

(What city is the circus in?)
Calfrun grunted as he crept through the dimly lit hallways of Magma's Helios base. Even with the place mostly deserted, since Magma had taken as bad a beating as Phoenix, there were still plenty of people to spot him.
And that would be bad, since his mission was to sneak in and steal any technology they had that Phoenix might be able to find a use for. He heard footsteps farther down the hall, and looked for a place to hide. There was a room to his right, and he ducked in, hoping nobody was in there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zac sat in Magma's lounge room, reflecting on how difficult it would be for Magma to make any sort of comeback after the incident at Burlain. And that damnable Phoenix was probably still out there, slowly regaining power. He wondered when the next time he would see one of them on the feild of battle, and if they would be friend or foe.
At that moment, a young man wearing a Phoenix jacket and gloves entered the room.
"What do you think you're doing here?" Zac asked.
"Crap." The other guy said, and he pulled a poke'ball from his pocket. "Xadc!"
(I've got more to post, but I don't remember my other guy's name)
Nicole woke up from the nap she had been taking on the mountain side. It was outside of Lavatown, where the soil was very fertile. She was in the middle of a vast flower field with Bronco grazing under a tree nearby, and Edana sleeping....across her stomach. Nicole used to sleep with Edana on her stomach before, but that was when she was a Vulpix. A Ninetales is a heck of a lot heavier.
Nicole tried to sit up and push her off, but she was sound asleeo and wouldn't budge. Nicole sighed and fell back onto her back. "She might as well be a horse...."
Bronco looked up from the tree and eyed Nicole. "No offense, Bronco. Eat your damn grass."
Bronco bent his head back down and chewed on the green tuffs that grew in the shade, but he suddenly jumped back up and looked down the trail. He whinnied and stamped his hooves in the ground. Nicole tried to sit up again, and looked over Edana. Walking up the end of the trail was a Flareon. "Huh? A Flareon? Alone?"
Nicole tried to push Edana off her again. "GET UP! WE'VE GOT US A POKEMON TO CATCH!"
Kurt was leaning on the rail at the front of the boat that was heading to Roi Rill Port. He was thinking about what he could possibly do in Novien that could be helpful. A couple hours passed and Roi Rill came into view just barely over the horizon.
"So, that's Novien." Kurt said to himself.
Suddenly he felt a strange feeling and Freya walks up to Kurt and scratched at his leg.
"Absol." Said Freya in a worried tone of voice.
"Huh, you feel it to, don't you?" Kurt said kneeling down and putting his hand on her head for comfort.
They both looked toward the oncoming continent.
"You two look kinda cute together!" Samantha said playfully, holding a drawing of them.
Kurt stood up and looked at Samantha's picture. "Well, Freya looks good in your drawing but you can't draw people worth crap." Kurt said, poking fun at her.
"Hey! This looks just like you!" Samantha said in defense.
"No it doesn't! You totally butchered my entire look!" Kurt said laughing.
Samantha was about to say something back but she was cut off by the captain on the loud speaker.
"Attention everyone, this your captain speaking. I just wanted to inform you that in about ten to fifteen minutes we will be at Roi Rill Port, so get your things ready to unload."
"Alright, lets get going." Kurt said in a serious tone.
Kurt, Samantha and Freya started walking to their room. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- (I'm not that good at story telling but at least I'm in!)
The great big top dominated the cityscape, which was not a small feat. It left Peter in awe, but not so much from the size. He was surprised that Leonardo's drawing had come true. He always was, but they came true a lot, but not always about important things.
"Can I help you?" A man with a heavy Russian (lolwut) acent asked him. Six strange Pokémon stood around him juggling.
"Yes, I'm here to see the legendary Leomnin." Peter said casually. "And the rest of the show."
"Excellent! The next show is in hour. You buy ticket. Pokémon free."
Peter nodded politely to the man and started fro the ticket booth. Was he part of the show?
Ithica was tired, Tyler could see that much, but so was the Ursaring. "Hang in there," he urged. "Hyper Cutter!" Ithica launched at the other Pokémon with all its might, but it wasn't enough. The Ursaring dodged the blow.
"Slash!"
Ithica went down in a spectacular spiral. Tyler rush to her side and put her away. "You did good."
"What do ya got next?" Kaz asked.
"Tallon." A Golbat with a notched ear appeared beside Tyler.
Kaz smirked.
Yolanda took a seat two rows in front of where Eric was sitting. She stretched her left arm, then scratched her neck. It was a signal to Eric.
Once the Pokémon appeared, they would nab it. Other Phoenix members were stationed around the audience. But Eric already knew that.
Leamin, Yolanda mused, You will be mine.
Zac gasped. His entire team had just been decimated by a single water pokemon. He turned to run, but was then pinned down.
"Good job, ¥ògûrt." Calfrun said. "Keep him here for now, and make sure that nobody sees the two of you. I'll come back for you once I get what we came here for." The empoleon grunted a response, and Calfrun turned back to Xadc. "Alright," he said, "let's go." The two of them then inconspicously went back to the room where the forced-evolution machine and the shadow pokemon creator had been on his last visit.
He entered the room, and was astounded. Though the rest of the facility was in bad shape, this room was in relatively excellent condition. And was filled with strange looking devices and researchers, as well as magma's guards stationed throught the large room.
"Looks like we're not the only ones making a comback..." Calfrun muttered. "Get ready for a fight, Xadc. Let's do this." And so trainer and pokemon ran into the room, with the human repeating in his head, EX CINIS CINERIS.
Kaz's Ursaring and Tyler's Tallon both went down in a heap. Neither got back up. Both were recalled. "You know," Kaz said as he reached for his fourth Poké Ball, "I don't get many challengers who force me to go all the way to four."
"Really?"
"Really. Let's go!" He tossed the Pokéball with all his might. A large Snorlax appeared in the arena. It scratched its belly lethargically.
"Hmph. You're up, Archie." Archie barked. "Flamethrower!" A small scorch mark showed on the Snorlax once the flames died down. "That should have done more!"
"Thick fat halves fire and ice based damage!" Kaz exclaimed. "Rollout!" The Snorlax rolled onto its side and towards Archie. The nimble Growlithe dodged the attack, but the Snorlax came back. Again, he dodged it, but with a slimmer margin.
"Its gets faster!"
"I noticed. Keep sharp, Archie."
"Welcome, one and all, to the fabulous Red Sun Circus!" The ringmaster spread his arms wide at the audience. "I am your ringmaster, Daylyn. We have a fabulous show today..."
Yolanda glanced over her shoulder at Eric. "Be ready."
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Peter scanned the crowd, at the same time trying not to look suspicious himself. Soren chattered in his ear the whole time.
Alianna sat a few seats over. She didn't notice Peter's strange behavior; she was too enthralled by the circus.

Irene sat in her dressing room, listening to Daylun announce the show. She sat on a stoll in front of her vanity and began to bring her curls up on top of her head so that they wouldn't fall in her face during her performance. She had already gotten into her tights and ballarina-like skirt, and she had slipped the rufles over her shoulder. She now reached for a small marker the color of blue and brought it up to her cheek. She drew small swirls under each one before studying her final appearance.
When she was satisfied, she turned to look at Squiggly, her Arbok. He was curled up on her couch and was waiting for their call. Irene decided to waste some time by watching the show, so she got up and tip toed past Squiggly. She slowly opened the door and peeked out. There were other performers and stage hands rushing to prepare the share, and she slipped past them easily, twisting herself to easily let them pass without disturbing them.
She made it to a curtain where there was a small hole. She peered through it and stared at the large croud awaiting the wonders they were about to see.

Usteph Nonem and his juggler Pokémon team of Niette and Desmond (Talegs) Lcyth and Loden (Korlens) and Obliette, and Jocab (Salisks).
They juggled seperatly for a minute or so before beginning their complicated tricks. They pased rings and balls and swords; they stacked on top of one another; they ran around the field, tossing things across the whole length, before being chased off by an Ursaring wearing a tutu, riding a unicycle.
The whole thing was planned, but the audience didn't know.
Usteph winked at Irene on his way out.
that looked like the man from before... Peter noticed.

Serilay yawned. He hadn't wanted to come to this stupid circus, but his friends, the former Team Aqua members that accompanied him everywhere, had insisted. While Serilay didn't see what was so amusing, all three of the others seemed to be having the time of their lives.
It was then that Serilay spotted Yolanda, and a little farther up, Eric. He leaned back in his chair. Weren't those guys members of Team Phoenix? What were they doing here? Serilay decided to wait and find out.

Eric adjusted his sunglasses, pulling them down just low enough on his nose to allow him to see over the top of them to see the Pokémon in the ring. When Usteph and his team of juggling Pokémon were done, the entire crowd stood to applaud him. Suddenly, Renegade popped up from under the riser Eric was sitting on. Renegade made a series of silent signs to Eric, and Eric nodded, jabbing his thumb inconspicuously toward the peak of the tent. Renegade saluted and disappeared back under the risers. Eric sat down with the crowd and pressed a button on his collar.
"Act one, complete," he whispered into the hidden mic as the applause died down. "Moving into position for Stage Two."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Renegade sauntered past the security guards' station, smirking as the gagged and bound "professionally trained" guards struggled against their bindings, causing an obnoxious racket. Renegade juggled a set of keys as he walked, eventually arriving at a door labeled ROOF. Rifling through the keys, he found the key that fit the door and removed it from the keychain, dropping the remaining 10+ keys lying on the floor. He then ghosted through the door and locked it from the inside to ensure that nobody could reach him. He then turned to face the tall ladder that extended up through the roof of the tent. At the top, the ladder was blocked by a small covering, which Renegade removed when he reached it. He then lifted himself onto the roof and replaced the covering and stumbled toward the peak of the tent.
When he reached the top, he ghosted through the roof, landing silently on the metal service deck that circled the interior of the tent. Phasing out of sight, Renegade looked down at the ring where the next act was about to begin. He was now set. He pressed a button on a small hand-held device, and a signal was sent out to all Phoenix members, alerting them that Stage Two could now commence.
And upon recieving the signal, Calfrun decided that at the moment, he really couldn't care less. As it turned out, Team Magma was better defended than he had originally thought. He looked at Xadc, the explosiken (on the list of new pokemon) was facing ten other pokemon at once, and doing pretty well. The other four members of his team were doing just as well against the same number.
Calfrun, however, was in a bit of a bind. He was not used to actually physically fighting, but here he was, standing in the center of a group of five burly men. One threw a punch. Calfrun ducked, and hit the man in the gut. He felt a sharp pain as he was hit in the back, and he thought, This may have been a bad idea...
