Aurora turned back toward Tyras who, eternally cool, replied "Your Majesty, have you ever known me to lose a fight? Me, your loyal Guardian?" Sparks seemed to fly from Tyras as he made this comment.
"Well, Tyras, while you are an accomplished fighter, your reputation does make way for this girl's statements to be true. Ah, I've got it!" Aurora exclaimed.
"What is it, Your Majesty?" Tyras asked, slightly nervously.
"I'll take care of both of your claims right here and now. She says she can take any punishment and you say you can't be beaten. Both of you are hereby sentenced to fight in the Imperial Arena...to the death." Aurora laughed with a hint of sadism in her voice. Tyras chuckled and drew his sword, and instantaneously the two were teleported into a huge circular stadium, reminiscent of the arenas gladiators battled in ages past.
Tyras threw off his robe, revealing his standard battle outfit and laughed. "It's a shame I'll have to kill you...I never did get your name." Just as Tyras was preparing to attack, a voice came from nowhere. It was Aurora's, and Tyras flinched at what he heard:
"If the battle does not end in 24 hours, you will both be executed for crimes against the Empire. I will remain in the Courthouse to deal with our other accused criminals; if you need to contact me then use your badge, Tyras. That is all."
"Damn her..." Tyras muttered to himself. "Alright, let's finish this. No way in Hell I'm dying today."

Cybele smirked. "Me neither."
She lunged forward, drawing both her guns, but she didn't fire. She jumbed onto his shoulder in a flash and flipped behing him, nailing him in the back of his head with the butt of her guns as she went. She landed gracefully behind him as she shoved her pistols back into the holsters attached to her thighs and waited, poised like a lion about to pounce.

"Such gracefulness, far too refined for my old medieval style sword tactics." Tyras laughed, throwing his sword casually behind him as he rubbed his head angrily.
"Fortunately, while everyone else was out in the mines I was studying our last battle and learned quite a bit. That's my goal in life...Always challenging myself and becoming more powerful. But enough!" Tyras' armor disappeared and was replaced by a thick, fiery bullet proof vest and bullet proof pants.
"These allow me to move much more quickly than my old armor and sword did." Tyras laughed and demonstrated. In a fluid motion he had jumped unrealistically high into the air above Cybele and began to rain down fire balls from his position in the sky.

She quickly dove and tumbled across the floor, landing in another poised position. She stared back up at Tyras and shouted, "Then you'll definitely learn a lot from me!"
She quickly pounced towards the wall, jumping up and pressing her feet hard against it before she pushed herself away, letting her jump higher then usual. She collided with Tyras and knocked him down.

"Glad to hear it..." Tyras chuckled, jumping to his feet quickly. He began to spin around in circles as if he were a small child who was blissfully unaware that he was in a battle. His entire body was surrounded by a vortex of flames. When he stopped rotating his body was still covered in fire, burning the ground at his feet.
"Fire...So necessary...so chaotic...so...hot." Tyras chuckled and lifted Cybele by her shirt collar, throwing her to the opposite wall. Flaming serpents came from his body and traveled after her as she flew through the air.

She flipped and skidded across the ground on her heels. She stopped with her back against the wall, the snakes coming towards her. She whipped off her cloak and immidiately threw it on them, putting out the flames as she smothered them. She looked up at Tyras and smirked. "Your parlor tricks won't fool me. I can take the heat."
She charged forward, running at an abnormal speed, and jumped through the wall of fire. She jumped onto Tyras and had locked her legs around his neck, sitting on his shoulders. She grabbed on to his head and quickly turned it to the side, listening for the snap.

"You really fight to kill..." Tyras sighed as his neck was 'broken', what should normally have been a fatal blow. "But...I can't...Not yet..." Tyras' body melted into flames which rearranged themselves on the other side of the arena.
"I'm quite lucky I was in fire mode...half of my insides turned into flame. Had they actually been bones, my neck being snapped may have actually killed me." Tyras laughed again, although it was a more serious laugh than his previous laughs.
"But I can't help but feel that I've cheated death in a way...I'll just have to take us both to the afterlife to make up for it..." Tyras' body began to glow a bright orange. "Remember when I said that many of my abilities had to do with explosions? Well, now I'll show you the biggest bang of all!" The entire arena shook violently and random explosions appeared in the stadium.
"I really have enjoyed fighting you. It's a shame I have to die now...I have no doubt that you'll find a way to survive this, knowing your resourcefulness." Tyras chuckled while the arena resumed trembling.

Cybele stood her ground and looked directly at him. "What are you?"
But before she could answer, an explosion went off beside her. She ducked away and ran to the wall scaling it to jump over to the seating area. They were empty, but she figured an exit exsisted somewhere. She ran along the aisles, looking for an opening when she saw a break in the seating. She lunged for it as more explosions went off. She tumbled into the darkness, feeling a change of texture as she rolled through. She kept her arms over her head for protection and landed into a little ball outside of the arena.

Aurora, still in the Courthouse waiting for her accused criminals to respond, had been watching the battle between Tyras and Cybele on a television screen located at the bottom of her judge's stand.
"That fool! Why is he blowing himself up? Why does he not just use that other...ability...of his?!" Aurora exclaimed under her breath, furious that one of her Guardians would perish for no reason. At this moment, Alastor came in and nodded his presence.
"Tyras always has been one for those silly heroic ideals. You said that both of them would die if the battle didn't finish soon. I suppose he thought it better him than his opponent. That's Tyras for you...Romantic to a fault, part of the reason he loves fighting so much. I really will miss him...On a business note, however, we'll have to find someone to replace him. Surely you can't take the Internal Affairs department on your own?" Alastor asked. He had apparently been watching the battle on his own. and Aurora sighed in agreement.
"Yes, you're right...Let me finish this battle before we discuss such matters." Aurora said, and she resumed watching the scene. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyras nodded as Cybele escaped and laughed to himself again. "Goodbye." he said to no one person in particular, and immediately the entire arena was enveloped in a torrent of fire before exploding, sending balls of fire and debris throughout Awesome Land. Virtually nothing was left in the arena. All that was left in Tyras' place was a crater from the power he had been absorbing and a small pile of ashes. The only things in the arena that had survived were Tyras' sword and robe...

Cybele hopped over the debris after the explosion. She had been burried under some rocks which had protected her in a way, but she had to dig herself. She now carefully walked into the crater and stood over the robe and sword. She hesitated at first before reaching down to pick them up. They seemed light and agile. She gave the sword a test swing and found that she liked it, even though she had never really used swords much. She suddenly felt a pang of guilt and held the sword in her hands again along with the robe. She was contemplating on taking them. Normally, she would take them in a heart beat, but for some reason she was having trouble with this one.
She finally made up her mind and she lifted the sword high in the air, appearing ready to strike. She stabbed it down into the soil so that it stuck upright. She draped the robe over it and stepped back, admiring her work. She sighed and bowed out of respect. Even though she was a hunter and killed merciliessly, she still gave her respects to the beast that gave a good fight when she had made a kill. It was her instinct. She rose up from her bow and whispered "My name was Cybele"before turning and walking off, dusting the ashes from the clothed.

As he was Tyras' brother, Alastor couldn't help but cringe at Tyras' explosion and resulting death. Aurora, however, was far less sympathetic. She nodded her condolences to Alastor, instructing him to take over the Courthouse just as she noticed...
"L-Leon?" Aurora exclaimed. Johnny and co. had brought Leon's body with them and it appeared that he was millimeters away from death. "Alastor! I'm going to your laboratory! Has Leon's suit been completed?"
"Well...Yes...But after the issue with Phiro it might need a few-
"Enough!" Aurora yelled softly, causing Alastor to shudder. "I'll be repairing Leon now." And with that she grabbed Leon with her abnormal strength and realized that the Soul Cleaver almost-instantly-deadly katana was still embedded in his chest. She withdrew the blade and took his body to Alastor's laboratory. With the help of various tools around the area she successfully installed it onto Leon's body. A meter on the suit displayed that his natural life force was only 1%, while the power from the crystals was 125%.
(AW YEAH! IT'S TIME FOR HIM TO COME BACK AFTER BEING AWAY FOR 13 PAGES!)
The orb containing the Power Crystals in Leon's suit flashed brightly and Aurora laughed. The suit was a dark black and silver color, equipped with gloves, weapons and items to ensure the wearer's comfort and survival. ((Full specs on suit will be posted later))
Leon quickly stood up and eyed Aurora with the utmost hatred and contempt. He then looked below him and saw that the sword wound had been covered up by a crystal containing orb and realized that Aurora had saved his life. He didn't let her know this, however, and began to yell.
"JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK-
"Silence." Aurora commanded, and Leon was shut up almost as if by a magical force. "I have spared your existence this time, but don't think I'll do it again. Although you are my brother, you are still an Enemy of the Empire. I'll be holding you on trial separately from the rest of your friends. Use the time you have before then wisely." Aurora said, tossing the Soul Cleaver at him and teleporting him outside.
"Now, I have to find that person who killed Tyras. Perhaps she can replace him..." Aurora whispered to herself, running off to find Cybele.

Cybele haulted when she heard foot steps behind her she said "Is there something I can do for you, Empress?"

"I saw your battle with Guardian...Pardon me...Former Guardian Tyras. It appears that he perished in your conflict. This is true, correct?" Aurora asked.

Johnny turned back to normal and waited with Cassandra and Sarah and Zento. "Sooo... are we... off the hook or what?"

"When I said 'fight to the death', I had no idea that either one of my combatants would actually go through with it. Such ruthlessness...Perhaps I should cut to the chase." Aurora said, removing her hood, something she only did on very official matters. "I, Aurora Veralice, would like you to become the new Guardian and Head of Internal Affairs Department in Tyras' place." Her silver hair fluttered in a random gust of wind and her blue eyes seemed to gaze through Cybele into her soul.

"Not quite." Alastor said calmly, trying to restrain his tears. "I can't help but feel that had this whole trial not been brought about, Tyras would still be here. As such, all of you will suffer a very harsh sentence, despite my desire for pacifism. How do you all plead against the charges of bypassing the Imperial Barrier?" Alastor asked Johnny/Sarah/Cassandra/Zento

"Yes, all Guardians are permitted to enter and leave as they choose..." Aurora eyed Cybele suspiciously. "Of course, should you choose to abandon your duties as a Guardian, you would be persecuted and executed." Aurora explained. "So, what do you say?"

"Well..." Johnny looked around at the others. Each of them shrugged. "We did come through the barrier without asking..."
Cassandra wrapped her arm around his with a whimper.
