"What are you talking about?" Aaron calmly replied.

"The human brain produces electric shocks when active. When one uses super powers, more specifically telepathy," He looked pointedly at Aaron, "that bio-electricity increases. I'm an electromaster, so I can basically pick up on that. In a way I can almost read your mind." He grinned widely.

The Silver Matador stared around, surveying the destruction around him while being cautious to keep an eye on Cyril.
The odds of me taking on this guy alone and winning seem to be slim...All the super strength in the world means nothing against an ocean of lava...I'd better keep talking for now. he thought.
"Billions will die? The entire world will burn? You have to sacrifice some 'catalyst' to save humanity? Just...who are you? How do you know all of this? How can I be sure it's true?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Look, dude." Johnny shoved Lila away from him and dusted off his shirt and jacket. "I don't team up with people. The Ace Reporter doesn't have any sidekicks, dude." he glared, and he was about to say something else until a thought crossed his mind. If that Malignant dude really has escaped, he's probably still close by. Maybe this brat will, like, get hurt...or better...if she goes down there.
"Haha, if you really want to find out, why not go down there yourself, dude?" Johnny laughed. "Like, anything I know you could easily find out by going down there. Unless you're, like, scared or something. We all can't be 'Ace Reporters' you know."

The corners of Aaron's mouth twitched. "Clever. That means you've already guess my powers." He made sure his voice was low enough that the rest of the class didn't hear them. Where the hell was the teacher?

"Take my hand. I can show it to you. Be careful though, The Outsider doesn't talk. He shouts."
Cyril offered his hand to the armored titan.

"Indeed." Nathan said. He was about to say more when the teacher walked in, prompting everyone to get to their seats. "Alright you little rodents, sit'down and shut up." Coach Jack, their teacher growled. Nathan rolled his eyes. THis class was always fun.

Lila glared at Johnny."I'm not going to walk blindly into some situation. For all I know, I could be walking into a pool of magma! Just tell me, would you?" Because I don't want to have to start offering favors. Really, now, it hurts my reputation.

I don't have much of a choice here...I think it's safe to trust him. For now... The Silver Matador grabbed Cyril's hand with his own, armored hand, and waited for something to happen. His free hand clenched the lance tightly, just in case he was about to be pulled into a trap.

"Haha, like I said, dude. We all can't be ace reporters. I guess, like, some of us have what it takes and others don't." Johnny chuckled. "You're the one who wants the info, and I don't have any reason to just divulge Ace Reporter secrets like that, dude. I've, like, told you where to find the information. It's up to you to get it now, dude."

Lila scowled and crossed her arms. "Fine. Be that way." She turned on her heels and began heading out of the headquarters. And don't be surprised if you find a poltergeist in your cubicle later.

"I've, like, finally gotten rid of her..." Johnny muttered to himself. "She's, like, too persistent for her own good." He shook his head and approached his motorcycle, taking the opportunity to gaze at his reflection. He took a comb and ran it through his hair before calling out to Lila. "Remember, dude, you can find all the information at the Research Institute, if you really want to!" he shouted. "And I'll be sure to get you a nice obituary if you don't make it back..." he added under his breath.

Cyril poured the future into Carlos's mind. Carlos couldn't be prepared for what he saw. Visions of the Earth, shattering under the growth of a massive shadow dominated his vision. Interlaced with the horrible image was sound of billions screaming in gibbering insanity. He saw Cassandra clawing her eyes out. He saw dozens of supers he knew, and hundreds he didn't, killing each other. Reduced to cannibalistic urges to protect themselves. Nuclear explosions racked the sky, as the tentacled mass of The Outsider dominated the horizon. The... thing redefined his definition of huge. From its hideous form, there came a declaration in the thousand tongues of a million voices.
"I aM tHe LurKeR At ThE ThReShoLd! ThE ReVelEr oF MadDneSs. FrOm mY bIrtHs cOme tHe dEatHs of unIverSes!"
Carlos' mind nearly shattered under the barrage. But suddenly everything became quiet. He opened his eyes to a ruined landscape. Before him lay crumbling buildings and rotting streets. In the center of it all was a great tree. A dead tree. Impaled upon its trunk was a young girl with black hair. She looked distantly familiar, but he couldn't place her. Inscribed all over her body was the word 'Savior'.
Cyril suddenly appeared before him. "This is the Catalyst. This tree is The Outsider and I. From our roots spreads corruption and death. But humanity still lingers on and it will remain so until it has evolved into a from unknown to us. This is the alternative Carlos."
And with that the vision ceased.

Carlos sank to his knees, his lance falling out of his hand and nearly landing on the molten ground. "Th-that's the...future?" he muttered weakly. "No...No..." The most horrifying image to him was not that of the horrific ruins, but that of Cassandra. It made the entire situation a bit more personal. But just as frightening was the young girl pinned to the giant tree...Something just wasn't right about it.
Struggling to get up, Carlos spoke as clearly as possible. "That's...the future? And...we have to sacrifice a little girl just to keep humanity alive? I...I can't believe it..." But...There's no way I just imagined all of that...

Cyril was surprised with how well Carlos took the cosmic truth to the universe. It's one thing to just hear about your world's destruction; it's another thing entirely to see it; and Cyril was just lucky enough to be the instigator of the whole thing. The tree must be planted, here and now.
"This plane of existence is locked into place. The Others judged the fate of this universe before it even cooled from its creation. You have a choice in the matter here. Help me find the Catalyst, or doom your species, our species, to extinction."
