"Hmph." Laurine, the official ninja of the Awesome Land Guardians, jumped down from the chair in front of Carter. Ignoring anything he had said previously, she stared him in the eyes from beneath her hooded robe and asked "Why aren't you working like the rest of the citizens?" she asked. She neglected to mention that most of them had been brainwashed via a neurotoxin placed in the water supply.

"Don't like me? Why not? I'm really a nice, beautiful, charming woman!" Laurine laughed but was secretly clenching her fists in anger. "Not that it matters. Like me or not, I demand you get back to work." Laurine explained. She looked over in the distance and chuckled as the tower was almost complete.

Cybele, who was imobile for quite some time since I forgot about her, happened to notice Laurine and Carter. She would have tried to remain out of their sight, but she happened to hear the conversation. She took a few steps towards them and called out "Don't work for her. She's nothing but trouble."

Suddenly Durzo was beside her, and clamped a hand over her mouth. "Be quiet." He hissed. "Don't get in the way or you'll get killed!"

Xavian grinned horribly and grabbed the Ugly Stick in one hand. With the other he swung a great right hook into Johnny's gut. "Fool!"
Near Leon's unconscious form, footsteps echoed. Zais walked up to the man with an unreadable look on his face. "This is the perfect opportunity." he muttered to himself. "I could be rid of you once and for all." He summoned his scythe and lowered it to Leon's neck, but paused in consideration.

Laurine froze as she heard Cybele's words of HATRED. "What was that, Cybele? Was that a...wish for death? As a Guardian, or more accurately, a former Guardian, you should know that insulting the current reigning Imperatrix is a no-no." Laurine smirked and wiggled her finger condescendingly. "Do you desire death this much?" she asked.

Johnny went flying, the Ugly Stick clattering to the street some distnce away. Johnny didn't move.
Ventus appeared like lightning, bringing the Holy Claymore down on the demon's head. "Why didn't the Ugly Stick affect you?"

Xavian blocked, grinning evilly. "Fool. After hundreds of years as a GOD do you think something so trite would even scar me?" he asked. He reached up, one hand crackling with lightning and shoved it at Ventus. He could mentally hear Myrxxan screaming to be let out, but paid it no mind. He was finally strong enough to suppress that stupid boy.

Laurine grew more and more furious with each passing second. "I rapidly grow weary of this. Either get back to work or suffer!" she demanded, unable to bear listening to people who should be her slaves. "The Empire will not tolerate any more of your insubordination, especially from former employees." She glared angrily at Durzo and Cybele.

Cybele had frowned after Carter's comment, but she held her ground.
(By the way...if Durzo is there...where's Galiana? The last post she was in was where you grabbed her and jumped through a portal.)

Ventus' Claymore glowed with Holy Light.
Johnny hoisted himself up with the Ugly Stick. "Ventus!" He tossed the True Sword his way. Ventus caught it, and it, too, began glowing with light. Both blades were consumed by the light, and then the light merged. Ventus was then standing with a single sword, the Blessed Tear.
He gripped the Tear with both hands, summoned the Holy Light, and shined the light on Xavian. His skin turned red, and began to char.
"Demon of Hell!"

"Oh, no. I'm sure that if I killed you you would only reincarnate yourself again, Typhos/Durzo/Asher(lololol)/ or whatever you want to call yourself." Laurine cackled and rubbed her chin thoughtfully. She pressed her badge and whispered to Alastor a barely audible signal. "I'll just make your lives a living Hell!"
As soon as she had said that, Heaven's Judgment (the superweapon in Awesome Land) fired an intense beam of energy at the land around our protagonists in a circular motion, essentially cutting a small platform out for them. Laurine waved a hate filled good-bye at them when their section of land detached itself from the earth and dropped hundreds of thousands of feet into the ground.
"Literally." she added as they fell to their demise.

Our heroes landed with a thud straight in the Fallen Paradise, a massive fiery pit that served as Awesome Land's version of Hell, ruled by Clyde, a former soldier of the Super Land Royal Army. (For those of you who didn't know. Read Awesome Land III for more info.)
Clyde, who was absorbed into watching the entire war via his High Definition flat screen television, awoke from his trance with a jolt and stared our newcomers. Thunder began to roar and lightning struck around them as Clyde yelled in a booming voice.
"WHO DARES DISTURB- Oh. More visitors from Awesome Land." Clyde was familiar with many of the people from above. "Friends of Leon?" he asked.

"Really? He and I go way back! He's the one responsible for my corruption from Holy Soldier of Super Land to the 20 foot tall demon you see before you." Clyde smiled, no hint of anger in his voice. "I've since forgiven him and that one man, Narrator, for what they've done to me." Clyde stepped closer, his feet creating an earthquake like effect wherever they stepped. "So, what brings you here? People generally don't come here unless they're from Super Land. In fact, that technically is the only way to get here..." Clyde rubbed his chin inquisitively at the group. "Kind of ironic when you think about it. Having to go to the continent in the sky to get millions of feet underground." he thought.

"Really?" Clyde laughed deeply, rattling the walls and causing rocks to fall from the ceiling. "She seems to be a much stricter ruler than Leon and Aurora ever were. Perhaps its just the Veralice family?" Clyde thought aloud. "Well, I'd be glad to send you back up there in just-
BEEP! BEEP! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Sirens across the blackened pit sounded off.
"Oh, dear..." Clyde muttered. "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...This Laurine character...Did she take over Super Land, by any chance?" Clyde paced the Fallen Paradise nervously, twiddling his enormous claw fingers together.
