Awesome Land IV: Rise of the Grand Imperatrix

[Razgat]

Galiana stared at him for a while. "I've been in this story since the first few pages. I don't think we've met though. My name is Galiana. I was a servent in the palace where Aurora stayed, and my gather was a general in the army. Laurine killed my father and destroyed the palace and my home." Galiana pulled her hair back to reveal her new scars. The right side of her face had skin peeling away from Laurine's scratches. The left side was now deformed with burn marks. "She also did this to my face."

[Monika]

((WHEN DID WE STOP FALLING?))

Laurine laughed, using her sharpened sense of hearing to spy on their conversation. She ceased twirling around in her smog tornado and laughed hysterically. "Oh, I could take this time to recite a bunch of Shakespearean quotes about the heart and love...but I'd much rather kill you!" She lashed her whip out toward Galiana's chest to test this whole heart theory. "You know, I'm technically still the Grand Imperatrix. If you would just surrender Dynasty City we could leave this whole mess behind us and move on!" she smiled sinisterly. Aurora cringed at the thought and used her own speed to dash behind Laurine...only to be caught in mid air by Laurine's whip and thrown violently toward the rest of the protagonists, crashing headfirst into Leon's armored chest.

"Owies..." Aurora muttered, rubbing her head.

[Mizagium]

"What? Really?" Johnny glanced around. "Okay. I didn't make the city."

Sarah smacked him round the head.

"Sorry..."

[Myrdraxxis]

Zais shrugged. "I just showed up cause I sensed shit going down."

[Mizagium]

"What about you, Aurora? You must have an idea? Leon? Do't fail me Veralice!"

[Myrdraxxis]

Zais shrugged and somehow gained his bowl of rice crispy cereal and began to eat.

[Monika]

"I used to have ideas, but then I turned good and became comic relief." Leon growled. "You know, if we had just surrendered to Seth, he would've taken over the entire universe and every dimension. This could have all been avoided! He said he'd give us each our own dimension, too! I have half a mind to just waltz over there and join Laurine's side." Leon shrugged, casually walking over to Laurine.

[Mizagium]

"NO." Johnny grabbed Leon's shoulder and pulled him back. He pointed at Aurora. "Okay. I'm choosing to blame you for this since you picker her to help you rule. Figure out how to get us out of this mess."

[Monika]

"Blame me?! Blame me for choosing a capable person as my second in command? Blame me for choosing an expert fighter and Political Science major as my vice Imperatrix? Who would you expect me to pick? Some fat old man who sits on a throne all day and lets his only son run away on some dumb adventure?!" Aurora yelled, breathing fire instinctively toward Johnny.

[Myrdraxxis]

"You could have picked me.." Zais spoke up, his face a picture of hurt.

[Mizagium]

"Let me rephrase that: LAURINE IS NOW TRYING TO KILL US BECAUSE OF YOU!"

[Monika]

"Well, excuse me for NOT REALIZING THAT AN EXPERT ACTRESS WAS DECEIVING ME THE ENTIRE TIME!" Aurora yelled, about to slap Johnny across the face. She hastily reconsidered and regained her composure. "I can fight with you later, Prince." she growled. "If we get out of this alive, you can have a government position if you want...assuming the land is restored. Are deities even allowed to work in government?" she wondered aloud to Zais.

Leon muttered something under his breath, once again deprived of the chance to join the winning team.

Laurine lashed her whip out toward random people's chests.

[Myrdraxxis]

Zais dodged the blow and smiled cheerfully. 'No clue, but I'm always eager to kill- I mean learn." He said. :I own my own empire of darkness if that counts."

[Monika]

"Then it's settled! You can work in my new government after we defeat Laurine!" Aurora cheered, but her grin slowly faded into a frown of sorrow. "But how do we defeat Laurine? And aren't we in the Veral Dimension, still? We still have to worry about getting back home...Leon doesn't look like he's in a helpful mood." Aurora pointed out. Leon sat on the ground pouting, crossing his arms angrily.

[Mizagium]

"Waht? GODDAMNIT!"

Sarah looked around. "It's different than the last time I was here. Someone redecorated, I think."

"It's faded almost completely into the Null-Void," Johnny said.

"Oh. So?"

"So: If we don't get out of here in something like an hour, we'll all be trapped for most of eternity."

[Myrdraxxis]

"The null void hmmm?" Zais rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Isn't that my field of work or are there different voids?"

[Monika]

"Hmph. The Null-Void...What a joke!" Leon scoffed, still on the ground, arms crossed and face scowling. "I remember a time when the Null-Void consumed all of Awesome Land! No one was whining about it then..." he muttered.

[Mizagium]

"We didn't have time to whine about it," Johnny reminded him. "We were busy fighting a war inside a GIANT FUCKING DRAGON!"

"There's different kinds of voids, Zais," Sarah said calmly. "You're used to controlling darkness, and voids of darkness. The Null-Void is a dimension of nothingness on the edge of the multiverse. Time has no meaning here, and neither does space. Once you get in, you can't get out."

[Monika]

"And now we're trying to end a war by fighting a really annoying dragoon." Leon added. "I fail to see how we could have time in either situation to whine. Meh, whatever. I'm tied enough to the Veral Dimension to circumvent this whole Null-Void situation...at least for another 30 minutes or so. I'll see you kids later when you beat Laurine. Adios!" Leon laughed, grabbing his sword and carving a hole in what was left of the Veral Dimension. He proceeded to exit and seal the hole.

[Mizagium]

They all stared. Hard. He. Just. Left.

"He left us."
