Fed up with waiting for Adam to post, Ventus stabbed Xavian with the Blessed Blade. The Holy Light of it purged Xavian from Myrxxan's body. It was over FINALLY. Myrxxan passed out, but would be fine. Ventus slumped to the ground.
"Ventus!" Johnny rushed to his side.
"'S all right mah boi, I'm just...tired. Very tired."
"Don't die!"
"I'm already dead, have been for generations. I just borrowed this poor fellow's body for a time, but now I'm taking him with me."
"But...why?"
"He's tired, too, John. tired of living everyone's else's lives over and over again. He wants this rest." He handed him the Blessed Blade. "Take this." The sword glowed, and was the True Sword again. "Keep it safe. I trust you."
He shut his eyes, and fell back. He vanished before he hit the ground. Teary-eyed, Johnny sheathed the True Sword.
"Hey, kid," he said to Myrxxan. "you okay?"

Far away, over the Sea of Sand, a portal was ripped open, and Holden Restin slipped out. Making sure to seal it behind him, he scanned the land beneath him for traces of the power he felt. There! In mere moments he was on the boy.
"What-" was all poor Matteas had to say before Holden's hand closed around his neck.
"Hush. You have something I want: you power."
Matteas' eyebrows shot up, and he struggled to get free.
"No, no, that won't do at all. The harder you fight, the more painful it will be."
Matteas continued to struggle unitl he felt something leave his body.
"There, you see? Taking your power wasn't so bad. this won't be either." Matteas had time for one last gasping breath before he fell away like sand in Holden's grasp.
"Getting better." Holden wiped his hand on his jeans and loked in the direction of the greater power he felt. "So...that way's Awesome Land, eh?" Faster than thought, he was gone.

Somewhere outside Dynasty City, another portal ripped its way through reality. Out tumbled two figures: one with a large eyeball for a head, the other with a math-geek t-shirt and college-hair.
"I think we made a wrong turn at Albuquerque," Ralph said.
"No, no, this is right." Soh Cah Toa dusted himself off. "We went the right way; that damn rabbit doesn't know what the hell he's talking about."
"So...Awesome land, huh?"
"that's where Holden said he was going."
"Maybe we can stop this this time."

"Ah, you're back, I see." Laurine barely acknowledge Carter's (or his wolves') new form. "Am I to assume that Clyde loopholed his way out of having you executed?" Laurine smiled, though her face was never visible under her hooded robe.

Nothing wrong with Clyde mind you, he's kinda cool actually. But the point is you tried to banish us there. that alone is enough to make me want to rip out your beating heart." He paused. "Plus, you tried to make us kill Durzo, whihc we can't and you know it, because of continuity. I mean, come on!"

"Am I not doing what a good leader is supposed to do? Aside from sending you to the Fallen Paradise moments ago, which I will admit was a bit harsh-" she bowed slightly to express her condolences. "-I am only doing what is best for the Empire. You guys are the ones who seceded, and according to the rules of the Empire, it's my job to bring you back!." Laurine withdrew a small book that had been left by Seth the last time he was there. Having been a scientist, Seth bore an aversion to history and left it as a 'gift' to Awesome Land. Laurine opened it up and turned to a page about Abraham Lincoln, showing it to Carter.
"You see! This man- " Laurine repeatedly tapped Lincoln's photo. "-is ranked as one of the greatest leaders of all time for reuniting his country. Am I to be hated for doing the same?"

Laurine gasped in shock. "I did nothing of the sort! Aurora was knocked unconscious in a terrible accident! I, as Vice-Imperatrix, am following Her Imperial Majesty's footsteps as per her orders!" Tears came into Laurine's eyes. "I...I thought I was doing the right thing in taking over!" she cried. Such a good actress...

Crocodile tears. Carter snorted. "See this lady?" He pointed to his heart. "there ain't nothing there no more, thanks to what I had to do to get back here. Fake tears don't work on me."

"Hmph." The waterworks slowly faded away. "Is that so? Fine. If your heart truly will not respond and open up to me..." Laurine raised her arm and snapped her fingers. Thousands of brainwashed Dynasty City civilians slowly surrounded Carter. "...Perhaps it will open up to these civilians...in more ways than one. Too-da-loo!" Laurine laughed and, with the speed of Hermes, was gone.
"Braaaaaaaaaaaains..." moaned some of the brainwashed people.
"Sooooooooooouls..." moaned some more.
"No taxaaaaaation without representaaaaaaaaation." said a few more.

Meanwhile, Lex was pleased that the battle between Ventus and Xavian had finally come to an end. He approached an unconscious Leon, who was being hovered over by Zais.
"What's going on?" Lex asked.

William Cauldwell was still banishing the opposition to the Veral Dimension, slowly but surely decimating the Dynasty City forces.

Cybele stepped out of the portal a little later. She saw Carter and Laurine far off. They weren't fighting at the moment, but she knew it was coming. She started towards them but hesitated. If Laurine saw her, she would surely throw a fit. Best to hold off the fighting for a little while. She stood back and watched carefully.

Carter took a step back. "QUIT RUNNING AWAY!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!" He took his frustration out on the democratic zombies. "Hey, Cybele. Way dontcha give me a hand here?"
Fenrir and Frigga set to tearing the legs off of shuffling zombies.

Zais glanced up at Lex with a scowl. "I'm...considering my options." He said with a shrug. "Awesome Land is the only realm that I have not consumed in my power. Mostly thanks to this man lying right here." He nudged the tip of his scythe to Leon's neck, drawing blood. "So many problems could be washed away..."

"Wash your problems away? By killing Leon? Are you insane?!" Lex asked, tapping Leon slightly with his foot. "Look at this man! Lying on the ground pathetically! He's been through quite a bit! Grew up to work for a crazy restaurant owner, became corrupted by a sword, took over a country, found the resolve to fight being corrupted by a sword, and gave up on his power lust to live a 'normal' adventurous life? Any problem you could potentially solve with his death could be solved by slashing that blade of grass!"

Cybele burst into a sprint and charged towards the zombie...things. She drew her pistols and aimed at them, but as she got closer, she stopped. "They're citizens! We can't kill them!"
She shoved her guns in their holsters and proceded to knock them out instead.
